next day we had to wake up for school earlier than usual and unfortunately there's a game in the afternoon so i can't sleep.jay and carlos are playing and i have to be there to cheered them on.

mal,jay and i were walking towards our lockers and i looked down to see all the girls have long hair.mal seriously did it.

"look, it's mal."

"hi, mal! love my hair, mal!"

"are you feeling kind of weird about this?i mean, it's not so bad here, you know."jay asked mal and i,looking around sadly.

"are you insane? long live evil! you're mean! you're awful! you're bad news! snap out of it!"mal scolded jay who smiled after.

"thanks, mal. i needed that."he left to go to talk to the girls.

"do you think they actually paid for those?"i heard audrey ask ben whose locker was next to mine.they both looked at me and i raised my hands."don't look at me.i was reading and sleeping for whole afternoon.good luck on the game,ben."i patted his shoulder and went to stand next to jay.i had no intentions in speaking to other girls but irena was with them.

"oh, hello. the name's jay. you all going to the tourney game tonight?"

"yeah."

"keep a lookout for number eight, all right? scoring the winning goal."he said and i laughed.

the game is starting in half an hour and i'm one of the few sitting here and waiting.well,i'm not waiting,i'm still thinking about what happened with mal.

"so you are really not going to give her the cookie?"mal asked me as we walked to the field.i shook my head."look, i respect that you want to make your mom proud but i am not going to take an advantage of a poor girl."

"well,if you could do something else that would be perfect."

"like what,mal?"

"you said you kinda have a crush on her...so ask her out.i know she's gonna say yes because when i was doing girls' hair they kept talking about how much she likes you."mal grinned at me.

"actually yeah,i might but...why the sudden change of heart?"i asked.mal shrugged."i don't want or group to leave auradon without any memories so i guess if you want to make memories with her,do so before it's too late."

i nodded and put my arm around mal's shoulder.

"you know you don't have to do this,right?"

"yeah."

when lonnie and evie joined us we talked for few more minutes until whole school and other team's school came and announcer started to talk.we were tied up with other team and both teams were on their breaking point.

"this is a nail-biter, folks.there's 47 seconds left on the clock.we're all tied up. the sherwood falcons, two.the fighting knights, two. what a game between auradon's fiercest rivals.the teams get into their huddles and take up positions along the kill zone.akiho! the dragoneers have laid down a withering hail of fire.and now a substitution...jay."it was finally his turn again.he got up but brought carlos with himself.he's bringing that hot head jay in from the isle of the lost and that little guy carlos can barely hold a shield."announcer said.poor carlos.the shield is bigger that him,this school if awful.

"when they break from their huddles, this is gonna be a big moment here. and the tipoff is ready. here we go. long pass goes to jay. jay dishes off to prince ben. nice little block by carlos. he does a little dancing jig in his opponent's face. and now jay gets the ball back.here comes jay! jay, hurdling maneuver at mid-field."

"come on jay!!!"i cheer.i kinda got pumped up."i thought you didn't like this game."mal nudged me and laughed.i nudged her back and said."i'm just supporting my friends."

i looked around the field and stopped by the cheerleaders,more exactly irena.she looked beautiful.i couldn't look away and i stared at her until i heard everyone yelling and cheering.

"he scores!prince ben has won it!what an unselfish play by jay!what a team!incredible!"

"go jay and carlos!!!"evie and i cheered.

"and it's the new guys, jay and carlos,who set up the prince for the win here.what a victory!an absolutely wonderful end to one of the best games ever.here they come, folks.the winners of the first tourn..."

"-excuse me.excuse me.can i have your attention, please?"

the hell is ben doing.i looked at irena and she at me.i pointed to her brother but she just shrugged."there's something i'd like to say.give me an 'm'."

"m."everyone but evie,mal,lonnie and i did an m.

"give me an 'a'."

"a."

"give me an 'i'."

"l."

"what does that spell?"oh my god,he didn't."mal!"everyone yelled and turned to mal.i busted out a laugh and she hit me.

"come on, i can't hear you!"

"mal!"i yelled with them this time and mal hit me even harder.

"i love you, mal! did i mention that?"wow,that was quick."look like you got yourself a boyfriend,malll."i teased her.audrey ran away but i don't think anyone cared.poor her."i love you, mal! did i mention that?"ben told her once again.he started to sing and soon all players joined him,dancing.

"wooo,bennyboy."i patted his back.someone nudged me and i saw it was chad and audrey.she took the mic from ben and told."chad's my boyfriend now! and i'm going to the coronation with him. so i don't need your pity date."and then she kissed him.

does everyone kiss everyone out of blue?

ben didn't even blink at that and took the mic back from him.

"mal! will you go to the coronation with me?"he asked.i clapped his back and smirked."yes!"is it me or she sounded really happy?i think everyone,even mal,are happy here.

"she said yes!"audrey and chad left immediately and i smirked at chad and shoved my shoulder with his but cried out in pain and clutched his right shoulder.i smirked and playfully got into his face.he whimpered and flinched back.i was smirking the entire time."let's go,ben the whole team's waiting for you."jay came and i bro hugged him.he took ben away and i went to stand near evie again.

"hey,evie,do yo...are you okay?"i asked her,seeing her having pissed off look on her face,the announcer still talking in the backround.i looked at mal and when we locked eyes we immediately knew what's wrong.chad.

"i feel really sorry for audrey."mal started."you do?"evie asked her,still sad but i know she needed words of encouragement right now."i feel like if she was talented like you, and she knew how to sew and knew beauty tips, that she wouldn't need a prince to make her feel better about herself.we guys are just stupid sometimes,you know?"i told her.

she nodded."i guess i am kind of talented.and you're right,you boys are stupid."i laughed and saw her mood change quickly."you are definitely gifted."mal said to her.

"thanks,m,a.you both are wonderful."she said as we walked back to the dorms.
