𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 || 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘆'𝘀 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀

ben and i had planned a performance with some of our friends for family day.i let ben choose the song and surprise surprise he chose be 'our guest'.

but i still agreed nonetheless.we had lonnie and audrey choreograph it,nothing too big of course.

the performance was with us girls more in a back part while ben did most of the singing.not that i minded.

after the performance ben and i took the handkerchiefs we used and threw around.

"you guys!that was lovely."i heard mom calling out to us.i gave the last handkerchief to the butler on the side and hugged mom and dad.

"oh,let's go take pictures.we haven't done that in forever."mom exclaimed.without no choice ben and i were dragged under the pavilion where photographer was waiting.

"ready?"the photographer asked.

"oh, by the way, i have a new girlfriend."ben turned to dad just as the picture was taken.

both gasped but were clearly happy.

"well, i never wanted to say anything, but i always thought that audrey was a little self-absorbed. a fake smile, kind of a kiss-up."mom admitted.

i looked at her surprised.

"do we know your new girlfriend?"dad interrupted mom and we all stood straight so photographer could finally take a picture of us.

"on the count of three. one, two..."

"well, sort of."ben told them.just as he the photographer wanted to take a picture of us ben interrupted.

"mal."

"three!"

he took a picture but it didn't turn out good since ben already went towards mal and mom and dad had ugly shocked faces.

they looked at me with horror on their faces.i shrugged.

ben brought mal over."mom,dad.this is my girlfriend mal."

"hi!"mom greeted mal with high pitched voice.

mal greeted her back with airy voice.

dad just stood there and waved awkwardly.

"i was thinking maybe she could join us for lunch."ben said.

"of... course. any friend of ben's..."dad said.

"um,we actually came with my friends."mal said.

she pointed to other vk's.carlos and jay were stuffing their mouths with chocolate,evie carried carlos' dog and asa watched his friends with embarrassed gaze,almost hiding behind his hand.

"well, you should invite them. because the more the merrier!"mom said.

"yeah, i'll go grab them."

"uh, how about a game of croquet before lunch?"dad asked us.ben and i nodded.

it's actually very boring but i like to play it.

"huh? of course."mal said.

"game on."dad,ben and i said.mom rolled her eyes at our behavior.

we walked to the backyard where the banquet was held.some people already started playing so ben quickly explained the game to mal while dad started to play.

"hey,dad.i'm gonna go talk to asa for a bit."i told dad and didn't wait for him to answer.

i found him by the food table,munching on a cookie.
