Dilan's POV

I could hear voices in the background talking but I couldn't hear what they said or whom they belonged to. Still, I could hear there was a huge argument happening and sometimes I heard snarling and roaring. Still, I couldn't concentrate on them because all I could remember was that I was crushing on a vampire and apparently my life was in danger. That was enough to cause a turmoil in my head such that I could not think or even will my mind to something.

At the same time, the voices started to become clear. I could hear a little what they said and there were four voices. The argument was becoming more heated as time went by until I could now hear well.

"That was careless and stupid for a person over a thousand years," a feminine voice said and there was anger all over it. Still, I couldn't trace whose voice it belonged to.

There was silence and then came a voice that I could easily know anywhere and at any situation.

"Don't start or I will rip your head off," she said followed by a whooshing sound and snarling. It was followed by a louder whooshing sound and slamming of bodies.

"Cleopatra don't do it," a male voice came followed by another familiar female voice.

"Please don't, we shouldn't be fighting now," the other familiar voice came.

"Tell her and not me. She shouldn't have done that without telling us," the first female voice came.

"It was wrong but it has already happened, he knows," the only masculine voice said.

"At least he knows, it is a good thing," Cleopatra said.

"A good thing?! He has fainted," the first voice said and I immediately knew whose it was. It could only be hers and I was now freaked out. Why was she involved? But it made sense of what she had told me a few days before.

"Maybe he will be fine ..." Cleopatra stopped talking and there was a sudden whooshing sound and within a second, she was standing next to me.

I couldn't see her but I could feel her. I couldn't explain how that was possible but it was. My whole body was reacting to her presence as if they had all been activated just by her presence. I couldn't open my eyes but I felt like I could see her. I felt like we shared something but with her. It was freaky but at the same assuring. It meant she was there for me. And that was enough.

I felt or I could imagine her looking at me with a concerned expression on her face. I could feel the love she felt towards me. But also at the same time feel her fear for me. Within a second, I felt her hard and smooth hand on my head. It was as if her touch had ignited something in me that was spreading all over my body. Whatever it was, I didn't want it to stop.

"I am sorry Dilan, I had no other option," I heard her melodic voice. I couldn't imagine that her soft and angelic voice was once an angry and scary snarling voice.

Her hand began moving all over my face as if she was admiring the most beautiful thing in the world, a precious thing that could break easily. I was aware that she was a vampire and an image popped of her in ancient Egypt with a bloody dress and three bodies next to her. She was a monster but even if she was like that, I could see her image when she defended me in the school. The fear I had was gone and all I could feel was trust, love and anything good towards her.

"I love you and I hope you won't leave me after knowing what I am," she continued to say and that's when I mustered my strength and decided to move a part of my body.

"Cleopatra don't make it worse ..." She said as she entered in the room followed by the other two. I quickly opened my eyes and I saw Rose. Something about Rose being angry had always freaked me out but at that time, I was more scared. I am sure she knew what Cleopatra was and yet argued with her as if she was just a mundane.
