Cleopatra's POV
I was having so much in my mind at that moment. I knew what Julius was capable of and I shouldn't have underestimated him. It was because of the werewolves I had understimated him thinking that the werewolves would at least scare him or something like that. I had forgotten that he was one person never to underestimate and at that moment, he had released chaos in the form of seven vampires.
So as to turn someone into a vampire, the vampire had to inject vampire venom into the human's body using the fangs. The venom would slowly spread all over his body and when the venom reaches the heart, the human would die. Still, if someone died with the vampire venom in the body without the vampire venom causing his death, the person would still turn into a vampire. A few moments after dying, the person would 'wake up' as a vampire. But newborn vampires were the worst. They had uncontrollable desire to drink blood and since they still had their human blood in their bodies, they would be so strong.
Human blood is what gives vampires the strength. So the more a vampire drinks human blood, the stronger the vampire. So a newborn vampire still has the human blood and they are incredibly strong and considering they are inexperienced and have a burning thirst to drink human blood, they were dangerous. And they were seven of them. We had to find them before sunset or else the whole town would be in chaos.
Third person's POV
The evening was slowly setting in. There had been a school game that for unexplainable issues had been stopped and all students were told to go home. It would have been normal hadn't the whole town asked to remain in their homes and nobody was supposed to be outside. The sherriff had warned that there was an animal attack, a bear or a mountain lion or a wolf that was wild and killing people. Everyone was terrified or supposed to be terrified. Most families had already locked themselves in their houses before sunset as they didn't want to be victims of the animal attack. However, there is always those who ignore such things especially the teenagers and the four were among those people.
"It's so stupid, they cancelled the game because of an animal," Linet said as she opened the beer can and took a gulp.
"But maybe it's true," Simon said as he threw his empty bear can away. This made the other three look at him and burst out laughing.
"Why are you laughing?" Simon asked as he glared at his friends.
"How many times have we had 'animal attacks'", he paused as he air quoted and emphasizing on the words before continuing, "which end up to be nothing?" Kyle was already drunk.
"Every month we have an animal attack, it's normal in our small little town,"Linet said as she teasingly touched Simon's lips. The two were dating.
"Still, it seems frightening this time round," Simon said in a low tone as he gave in to his friends. But he was right, this were not the normal animal attacks they were used to. Every once in a month, the werewolves let themselves free so that they could keep in touch with their animal side. It wasn't caused by the full moon which was just a myth about the werewolves. But at that night, it wasn't about the werewolves as it was about vampires that were way worse than the werewolves that could control themselves.
"You are right," said the last of the four. She was seated at the far corner of the truck, away from the three where at the edge of the truck as she looked up in the sky.
Linet, Kyle and Simon turned to the person that they had almost forgotten about. Edna was seated alone as that is how she preferred to be, alone and by herself. She had the three friends but never talked much with anyone including her friends who she spent most of her time with.
