Chapter 3

Something was not right. Yuna could sense it the moment she entered the kitchen. She wasn't sure whether it was the fake innocent look on Deidara's face, the deviled smirk painted on Kisame, or the jashin hiding behind the couch that gave it away.

Either way she knew something was up and it was not going to give her any pleasure. Yuna secretly placed her mark on the walls, giving herself plenty of escapes.

She went to the fridge, intent on having some of the salmon, Kisame had promised to save for her. She opened the door to find a large bowl filled with the delicacy. Doing a quick check for traps, she picked it up.

Deidara was watching from the corner of his eye, as she bit the head off the top one. Instantly she knew what they'd done, there was poison in these fish. She swallowed, finding the small burning sensation missed with the fish tasted quite good. Taking the rest of the fish into her mouth, she walked back to the door.

“Good idea adding poison, boys. It gives the fish so much more flavor.” She said, leaving the room.

“Fucking bitch!” Hidan cursed from his hiding spot.

Deidara made a slightly disturbed face, that had been one of Sasori's strongest poisons, even the smell had almost made him faint. “What's the next plan, un?”

“I'm gonna fucking cut her head off.” The jashin hissed.

Kisame chuckled, getting up. “I told you it wouldn't work.”

Hidan glared at the shark, before leaving the room. He'd just have to find a way to kill her before she dodged or blocked.

Yuna watched slightly bemused as Itachi entered her room. “I don't remember this kyuubi doing something that required you to come check up on her..” She mumbled.

The Uchiha gave her a pointed look, walking up to her bed and glaring down at her. The kitsune was laying on her belly, one arm propping her head up. A book was in front of her, and by the way her ears were back, told him she'd been at a good part and he was stopping her from finding out what happened next.

Her tails swished in irritation, a few even flicking him. Almost as though she was silently telling him to go away.

“I heard Hidan tried to poison you today.” He said, the reason he was looking at her so sharply was because he was trying to see if she was hiding any signs of sickness. But she seemed no different than earlier.

“Lousy attempt of assassinating me. If he'd done any research, he would have known it can't effect something like this kyuubi.” The demon chuckled dryly, looking down at her book.

Itachi was sure that was her way of dismissing him, but he ignored it, sitting down beside her. “You should be more careful, he'll have another plan set up soon.”

“Kyuubi's already ahead of you. He should be finding his gift any moment now.” She said, her ears perked up, pointing toward the wall before her.

It hadn't taken her long to figure out the Jashin was her next door neighbor. Not three seconds after she'd finished speaking did they hear the slicing off knives, followed by a string of curses that ended with 'kyuubi.'

“Damn he's still alive...” Yuna frowned, resting her head on her book. “This kyuubi was sure cutting off his head would work...”

Itachi wasn't sure when she started, but he'd only just now realized she'd been referring to herself in third person.

“So what happened that you got your head cut off, un?” Deidara asked, looking at the jashin as his partner sewed it back on.
