Chapter 15

“I hate sand.”

Itachi chuckled, but he had to agree with the crimson colored kyuubi. “Be happy you don't have gills.” He teased, looking up at their tall companion. The blue man had most of his body shielded from the sand and blazing sun.

“What are we doing in Suna anyway?” Yuna hissed, pulling her straw hat further over her face.

“Leader-sama wants us to steal a scroll and gather intelligence on the village's defenses.” Kisame replied.

The demon scowled, crossing her arms. “Mah, don't expect me to seduce another lord.”

The Uchiha frowned, recalling the last time she'd tried. “Absolutely not. Just lay low and find out what you can.”

She smirked a little, latching onto the Uchiha's arm. “Mind laying low with me?”

The raven sighed, but shook his head. “I will be going after the scroll with Kisame. You're on your own.”

She pouted, letting go of him, and glaring to the side. “I don't even get to kill anyone?”

“No. And you should change into your civilian clothes, Yuna.” Kisame advised, throwing a dark brown and black wad of clothing at her.

She glared at him, tossing him her cloak and hat. She pulled the dress on over her clothes, slightly annoyed by the fabric. It clung to her body until it reached her hips, flowing out behind her to hide her tails.

The short sleeve top had a hood, which she pulled up, to cover her ears. The slight bumps were where her ears had drooped down. The dress was dark brown except for the black lining and stripe around her middle.

“Happy?” She growled, straightening the fabric.

“Very.” Itachi said, kissing her forehead. “Stay out of trouble.”

She smiled a little, squeezing him in a quick hug. “I'll find out what I can.” She promised, before leaving the duo.

“Is it really alright leaving her alone?”

Itachi frowned a little, Kisame usually never questioned his decisions. “Of course, besides I don't want her anywhere near the one tails.”

Yuna smiled gratefully to the tea shop waiter, who'd brought her the hot beverage, before going to serve another customer. The small shop seemed like the perfect place for her to gather information. It looked like the number on destination for ninja coming in from missions.

“I hear the Kazekage wants to set up more guards around the village.”

The kyuubi's ears perked under her hood, as she took a sip of her tea. But she almost choked at the voice that replied to the other sand-nin.

“Yes, especially when rogues can get in so easily.”

Crimson eyes met sea foam green as the two men sat on the other side of her table. Yuna gritted her teeth, recognizing them as the two sand genin she'd met during the chunin exams.

“Hello kyuubi.”

“Gaara.” She nodded stiffly to the other red head. She barely spare Kankuro a glance, as she took a sip from her cup, how could she not have sensed them.

Her ears twitched under her hood as she noticed four other shinobi standing around, pretending to be drinking tea or chatting, when really they were all watching her. Gaara must have notified the Kazekage of her arrival then followed her to the shop.
