When you thought I was fast asleep,
my whole body crying to sleep.
My tears were soaking the already wet pillow,
Oh! But do you know? When you were out there relishing,
Trying to distract yourself from me.
I was solitary sitting here,
Comforting my own soul,
sobbing real slow,
Oh! But do you know?I called out for you,
But you pushed me away.
I kept coming back,
a little more degraded,
a lot more low,
Oh! But do you know? You were trying to fix yourself,
But scared to take back your broken pieces from me.
I was the void you wanted to fill,
A hole that degraded your body,
But again,
You threw away my rhapsody. You thought I would change,
Afraid that I might go away.
But aren't you the one who never lets me in any way?Come back before I stop trying,
Hold me for once and for all and confine your crying.Together we can get through this,
Together we can mend you whole.
Together we can grow,
Oh! But do you know?-Azmii•
