CHRISTMAS EVE

Christmas came upon us rather quick and it was this holiday that I would be introducing Gianni and Gianna to my family. We would then be spending New Years with his family at their annual New Years party
It's been almost 6 months now since me and Gianni have been together and It's been going rather well. Gianna and I have a great relationship and I love being around her. Me and Gianni may have petty arguments but that's normal and they don't get to far. I've been rather happy since we've been together and my friends and family have noticed it too.
I was at my parents house right now helping mom put the final touches on the Christmas tree. My father was in the kitchen prepping Christmas dinner. Some of my aunts, uncles and cousins were coming into town for Christmas so we were preparing the house for that.
"So I'm really excited to meet this man who has you in good spirits" my mom said
I smiled " I'm excited for you to meet him to mama, he's a great guy"
"Oh I know" she said then continued "I know you and you wouldn't settle for anything less" she said pointing at me
I giggled
"Yeah I guess"
My dad came into the family room putting the spoon up to my mothers mom to taste "here dear let me know how you like it" he said. She closed her eyes savoring the taste "It's amazing as always Miguel"
I stood admiring my parents. They have been together for 27 years and you can just feel the love radiate off of them. I hope that one day Gianni and I can share that type of love
I know that I love him a lot, but I wouldn't say I'm in love yet and I think that's okay. Though the relationship is going amazing that is a big step and not something to play with so I'll hold onto that until I'm sure sure.
Speaking of Gianni, my phone rang and it was a FaceTime from him
"Hey baby" I said answering the phone
"Hey beautiful how are you"
"I'm good just finishing up the tree" I said smiling
"Nice how's your parents" he asked
I looked back at them "they're good just being lovey doves and all. I'm jealous I wish you were here to be lovey dovey with"
He chuckled "Soon babe soon"
We continued to talk about any and everything. I even spoke with Gianna for a bit when she woke up from her nap.
Once we got off the phone I made it my mission to finish wrapping presents for the two. I got Gianni the new 12s that came out along with a sketchbook for his drawings. He mentioned that he wanted to design all of his buildings for his business so I thought he would like this. I also made sure to wrap another little surprise for him .
