I sat in my office looking over the resume Denise gave me and I couldn't lie, she had real good credentials.
I looked up feeling her gaze on me.
"So, what do you think?" She asked
I sat the papers down "Your credentials and work history is excellent, I'd probably be crazy not to hire you before the competition does."
She smiled immediately "So does that mean I got the job?"
I nodded "You need to be here on Monday at 11am, and If your here at 11:01 your fired"
She nodded fast "Of course thank you so much"
After filling out the necessary paperwork and collecting the appropriate documents I was leading her out the front door just as Ezra was making her way in
She smiled at me "Hey my love"
"Hey baby" I kissed her forehead and turned to see Denise staring at us
"Hi I'm Ezra" I heard and saw Ezra stick her perfectly manicured nails out
"Denise, Giannis assistant"
Though Ezras face never waivered I knew what she was thinking
"Well congratulations" she replied
"Thank you, so I'll see you Monday Gianni? 11 am sharp right?" She turned to me
I sighed "Yeah I'll see you" I said closing and locking the door behind her
I turned to see Ezra staring me down
"She's cute" she plainly said
"Z I-"
"I didn't say anything Gianni" she held her hands up chuckling
"But I just want you to know that she was hired strictly off of her credentials, they were amazing babe"
"Hmmm" She said turning around and making her way upstairs to my office
I sighed following her
"Say the word and she's gone baby"
"No that's not necessary. If she's good and she's an viable asset then keep her" she said sitting on my lap
" I just don't want you to be worried"
"Oh I know I'm not worried" She smirked

After an hour or so I made my way to the school to pick up Gigi and Ezra made a stop at her parents.
I pulled up to the school getting out and locking my doors. I scanned my card and the door unlocked.
Walking up to the front desk I typed my login information in to check her out
"Hi Gianni how are you ?"
"Hey Miss.Debra, how are you doing"
"Im doing good Giannas been asking bout ya"
I smiled "she miss her daddy its all good."
I walked down the hall to her classroom to see her putting on her jacket while talking to some boy
My face immediately scrunched
"Gianna"
She turned quickly and waved bye to the night before running to me. I picked her up immediately mugging at his ass so he turned around going to take a seat
"I missed you daddy" she cheesed
"I missed you too babygirl, we need to talk though." I said kissing her cheek
She grabbed her bag
"Where's z?" She asked skipping to the car
"She went to see her parents she'll come soon"
I put her in the car and she nodded
"Can we stop and get chicken nuggets"
"Sure can if you tell me who that boy was"
She frowned "what boy?"
It was my turn to frown now "The boy you was talking to when I came to get you"
"Ohhhhhh him?" She looked out the window
"Girl -"
"That's James, he's my friend" she said
I looked at her through the rear view mugging "Mmmh"
"Yup" she said swinging her legs
"What y'all be talking bout" I asked
"School" she shrugged
"That's it" I questioned amused
"Yup" she responded
"Alright th —"
"And he say I'm pretty" she smiled
"He wha—" I started
"And he like my shoes" she said wigging her foot
"Girl stop cutting me off" I said getting upset. Don't no body need to be complementing her but me he doing too much
"Oops sorry daddy" she giggled
I sighed, my head was starting to hurt
"Can't I face call Ezra?" She asked
"Yeah baby"
I called her and slid my phone back. She dint never ask for her mom .. at first I thought that would be an issue but I'm not complaining at all.
I heard the phone connect "Omg is that miss G!!?" Ezra yelled
Giana giggled "Hi ZZ"
They conversed all the way until we got home
Once in the hit I put her things away and sat her down to eat her food
Once she was settled I took the time to eat myself and put the food I got for Ezra away.
I snuggled next to Gigi on the couch and we dozed off .
