Hey guys so as a thank you for getting the first book Not Always Who They Seem to over 1000 reads and for being so patient with me and my updating I have decided to publish the first chapter. I'm going to be putting the 'date' that the chapters take place near the top of the chapters to help you all track the progression of the story. I hope you all like it. So here it is! Enjoy!

Mykie's P.O.V
April 19th.

"Alright Mykie! I need you to turn to your left side and look down at the ground." I do as the photographer says and look down at my shoes. "Now. I want you to put your left arm up to your head and rest your right arm on the side of your body." I continue doing as I'm instructed.

The photoshoot continues for another half an hour. Once we're done I go over to the hair and makeup tent before hopping into my chair at my makeup table to see a couple texts from my brother, a text from Barbara and a call from Tim.

Wait...

Why are they contacting me? I left Gotham so I could get away from everything that had happened to Damian and I all those years ago. I haven't spoken to anyone from his family since he was taken. Being around them just reminded me too much of what I lost that night. I unlock my phone and see that there is a voicemail that Tim. So I open my voicemail to listen to it.

"Hey Kay. Umm. Just calling to check up on you. It's been a couple years since I last saw you and I'm worried about you. Just need to know you're safe. Okay... Well... Bye... We all miss you and we will keep looking until we find him."

I sigh and place my phone back in my bag beside me before looking down at my left hand where my wedding ring still sits.

When Damian was taken from me that night on our honeymoon, it was different from the night I got kidnapped on my birthday. It had felt like an elastic was being pulled and pulled to the point where it's just about to snap. I also haven't been able to contact him through our telepathic connection since that night.

That's the reason I moved out of Gotham and all the way out to New York. I packed all my stuff and left. I couldn't even say good-bye it was too painful.

"Mykie. Darling. We're done for the day you should head home and rest. We have another shoot happening in a few days. But you have the next couple days off. Go spend time with that brother of yours. I'm sure he misses you. Spend some time with your daughter. Or better yet, go to that Wayne Enterprise meeting I know you were called into and introduce her to her grandfather I'm sure he would love to meet her." My agent Lily said as she walked into the tent.

I look over at her like she was crazy. "How the hell do you know about that meeting?" She gives me a look that says 'how do you think?'. I sigh before looking around at everything around me. "Let me guess. Either Bruce contacted you or got one of his sons to do his bidding?" She nodded before picking up my ringing phone.

"Hello?" She says into the speaker. "No. This is her agent who is calling?" She nods her head along with what the person says on the other end. "Well Mr. Wayne, I will try to get her to agree to that but I sadly cannot make any promises." Lily says in return. She continues for a little while longer before hanging up. Still looking at her I raise my eyebrow at her. "Did they find something important regarding Damian?" I asked. She shook her head and I groan. "I had specifically told them in the note I left when I left Gotham not to contact me unless they found my husband." She just looks at me. "Mykie, they aren't just your husband's family. They're yours too. You haven't seen them in over three years. So it does make sense that they want you at this meeting." She explained just looking at me. I shake my head and look back at my ring.

Tim's P.O.V

I'm sitting in front of the bat-computer still trying to find Damian. It's been three and a half years and there's still no sign of him anywhere. It's also been over three years since we've seen or heard a word from Mykie. She hasn't answered any of our calls or texts. She refuses to see us. We have tried everything and no luck on either end.

I have her note taped up beside the monitor of the computer as a reminder.

'I can't do this anymore. I can't be in a city that only hold memories of him and everything he meant to me and everyone around me and everything that has happened to us all because of my father, the bond we had, the League of Assassin's, everything. I need to leave. I cannot be reminded of that pain. Do not try to come looking for me. And do not contact me unless you have found him.
Mykie.'

I sigh as I look at it for the millionth time since she left. For all I know she could be dead. We've all been worried about her.

None of us have been the same. I've thrown myself into multiple cases at a time. Dick moved back to Blüdhaven, Steph has been throwing herself into her college work. But Jason... Jason has been taking it much worse then everyone else. He reverted back to his drug lord days. Dealing, selling, killing. Everything. We don't know how to help him. Besides finding a way to bring her home.

"What are you still doing up? Don't you have a meeting tomorrow?" I hear a sigh from behind me. "Babe come to bed. This can wait. You need to sleep before you collapse. Again. Finding Damian can wait another day. You have work tomorrow." I feel arms wrap around my neck. I look up and see Steph standing there looking over my shoulder. I sigh and nod before getting up out of my chair. And following her to our room.

Damian's P.O.V

I stand with mother looking out over all of my disciples. "My son. Your grandfather would be proud of the leader you have become." She stated still looking out at the classes happening in front of us. I just nod my head agreeing with her because I know this is all grandfather ever wanted for me.

I do not understand why but these past couple of months I have been getting flashes of two girls one looks to be my age and the other looks to be around the age of three. I have also been hearing the voice of an Angel calling out for me. I suppose I must talk to mother about this.

Jason's P.O.V

"Please. Don't kill me. I'll do whatever you want. Just don't kill me." The bastard at my feet begged. I don't even hesitate when I pull the trigger and put myself out of the misery of having to listen to him beg.

"Was that really necessary Jay?" I hear a voice question from behind me. I whip around and point my gun at the man in the blue and black suit. I groan before pressing the buttons on the side of my helmet causing it to loosen to allow me to pull it off. "Piss off Dick. That was as necessary as everything I do is. The bastard was annoying me with his pathetic begging." He shakes his head at me. "Now why the fuck are you in Gotham and what do you want from me?" I snapped he sighs before sitting down on a ledge. "Well? Are you going to answer?" I asked as I leaned up against my bike.

"We have a location..." My head snaps over to him. "You found the little demon?! Why didn't you just start off with that?!" I exclaimed. He shakes his head. "We don't have a location on little D. But we do have a location on Mykie." He continues. I light a smoke before pulling a drag from it. "Oh. Her. That's nice. Don't care." "Jason. I get it you're hurt but we have a location on Mykie which means if we can get her to come home maybe we can finally get a location on Damian." He explains and I growl at his words. "You don't understand it do you? You had Kori. Tim has Steph. And yeah okay you guys saw her as a sister or whatever. BUT SHE FUCKING LEFT US BECAUSE LIFE GOT TOUGH!" I snap at him. He stands up slowly nodding his head. "Bruce invited her to the Wayne Enterprises meeting tomorrow. You should come. Even if she doesn't show up you are still family and Bruce is going to need us all there." He tells me before he jumps up the fire escapes beside us before he disappears.
