- Sooyoung revealed that during her trainee days she found Jaehyun to be quite intimidating, mainly due to the reserved persona he displays around new people. Although with the help of Johnny that dynamic changed and the two were able to befriend each other quite quickly.
- Sooyoung feels the safest when she's around Jaehyun. He is like a big brother figure to the girl and the two easily banter as well as support each other through thick and thin.
- In saying this though Jaehyun is also very protective of Sooyoung. He will always keeps an eye on her when the group is doing schedules, never leaving her side within big crowds and making sure she feels comfortable on and off the stage when performing.
- This is done all through their acts of service, with the two checking up on each other through their actions. Whether that be small glances, facial expressions or a subtle pat on the back, Sooyoung and Jaehyun make sure to communicate even if their communication is non-verbal.
- Since her mother passed Sooyoung has had a lot of issues with anxiety attacks and Jaehyun is one of the few people that can calm her down whilst she's having one. Just by a simple hug, he's able to ground her and pull her out of her overwhelming thoughts.
