Y/N's pov~
I was laying in my bed writing when there was a knock on my door.
"It's open!"
The door opened revealing the queen. She smiled at me and I stood up to face her. She held my hand and looked me in my eyes.
"Remeber that person I said wanted for me to keep you safe?"
"Yeah..."
She smiled brightly, confusing me.
"Well, they're here. It's been a while. I just wanted to make sure you were on track with how things work here and now I want to tell you something before I show you them."
I nodded and she down on my bed. She patted the seat next to her signifying I should sit. I sat and she looked at me deeply.
"Y/N it's been a while, I should've told you this when you first showed up in my basement. I saw how they hurt you and I stood there. Do you want to know why they all respect you now?"
It was a bit odd how the same men who almost killed me were now at my beck and call, come to think of it, everyone in this mansion was at my beck and call.
I nodded at her slowly and she gripped my hands tighter. She leaned in and looked me into my eyes.
"I am not the queen"
I was shocked to hear this. I slowly let my hands go from hers and I looked at the floor confused.
"What are you-"
"Your mother is the queen. She wanted me to protect you so I told you I am the queen."
I am so confused. I looked at her and tilted my head to the side asking for more information. Is, Am?
"My mother is dead, what are you talking about?"
She sighed deeply before looking at me again nervously.
"I'm your mother's sister"
"s-so you're my aunt?!"
She nodded. I scoffed at her in disbelief that she lied to me for this long.
"One more thing..."
I looked at her once more and she stood up. She reached her hand out and I took it. She took me around the back into the garden.
There was a bench in the garden. It was peaceful. Since I've been here, I've only been here about 3 times but it was always so precious to me.
We sat there in silence for a while but the once "queen" kept looking back and forth at her watch. Then she mumbled to herself.
"Any minute now..."
I was getting nervous for some reason. I fiddled with my fingers as I kept looking around searching for something I had no idea about.
Out of nowhere, my aunt pointed to the flowers excitedly.
"There she is!"
I looked over and seen the flowers move. This was just like any horror movie when you look beyond the bushes and see that monster come towards you but it's too late for you to run.
Except, I was engulfed with beauty. She was gorgeous. I looked at her face deeply and seen my mother. My mother who I preassumed was dead.
I fell to the floor and began crying, clenching my stomach tightly, gasping for air. My vision was blurred with tears.
I felt her arms around me and she shushed me. The same warm embrace she gave me years ago, the same shushing she did to me when daddy would hurt my feelings.
She rubbed the back of my head slowly and I looked at her. She wiped my tears and smiled at me.
"Mom, I-I thought you died"
She let out a soft chuckle at me
"Well, that's what you do when you want to escape "
