I shook my head vigorously at her in confusion.

"So you're telling me, you paid some of your men to play doctor, come to the scene and proclaim you as dead!"

She nodded and all I could do was look at her in astonishment.

"I didn't want to be here anymore so I'd rather play dead. Literally."

"Dad is so heartbroken, it's been years mom"

She sighed deeply.

"I know my daughter. I know. I've been watching over you guys. He's been trying to get you to kill Jeon Jungkook right? I'm glad you haven't"

Jeon Jungkook. I was so caught up in living here trying to please my aunt, that I forgot about Jungkook. He'd want me dead anyway.

I think I showed my sadness because my mom stroked my cheek before pulling me into a hug.

"It's okay my dear, when your queen, you can go back to him"

I almost broke my neck trying to look at her as she said that.

"I don't want to be queen. I'm sorry but just like you don't want to be queen, I don't want to either mom. I am done with this gang stuff. I want to go home"

She nodded at me slowly before sighing.

"I understand. We'll pass it onto your cousin Jinnie"

I chuckled at her and she looked at me smiling. I've missed this smile.

"Now what. Are you going to say you're alive to the world?"

"I can't. They'd kill me. That's why I've been in hiding. I'm going to go to America next month... You- you're welcome to come along. We just have to say how you died as well."

I shook my head in denial. I can't leave my father.

"I can't leave dad. He's gone through so much without you and if I leave, he'll be devastated, he'd hurt himself. I can't"

She looked at me and laughed loudly. I looked at her annoyed and waited for her to finish.

She finally took a deep breath and looked at me seriously.

"Oh, honey. Your father knows I am alive. What has he been telling you"

I felt my heart shatter. I was confused, hurt, betrayed in so many ways in one day. I looked at her perplexed.

"Wait, he knows?! He told me he was devasted because you were dead. He's trained me for years to prepare for me to kill Jungkook. To find him, hunt him down. I'm confused. He already killed Mr. Jeon. But Jeon Jungkook isn't trying to kill me. Usually, that's how it goes but why isn't he."

She looked at me as if what she was about to say would trash her reputation. As if what she was about to say would get her killed.
