Plans and Layouts

Harry's POV.

I wake up a few hours later and see that Tom is already planning his Azkaban escape.

"I see you started your plan," I remark, making it known I am awake.

He looks up at me with an innocent yet guilty smile. I just shake my head and walk over to see what he has come up with. He has the layout of Azkaban laid out in front of him, marking where guards stand and where the dementors roam.

"So, how do you plan to do this?" I ask him, seeing that he hasn't started planning, he's still mapping out the prison.

"I was thinking taking a few of my death eaters, not in prison, and breaking them out that way," Tom tells me.

"What if you just swap them?" I ask, confused about why he plans to do it in a way that shows he is back and that will cause the most harm to his forces.

"How would we do that?" he asks, confused, but he is thinking it through.

"Well, if we take a few muggles and replace them with your death eaters, that are in Azkaban, under polyjuice, or my potion, which lasts a lot longer, you can get your followers out, while remaining hidden. Plus it causes fewer casualties," I tell him.

"How long will it take to brew your potion?" Tom asks me.

"About three days. It can be a permanent change or last a few weeks. It depends on when the person wants to turn back. However, if we use muggles, from the muggle prisons, obliviate them, then cast an imperious on them, they would never change back," I tell him.

"Alright, you get started on brewing your potion, I'll collect the muggles and wipe their memories, along with cast the imperious," Tom tells me, rushing out of the room to talk with Lucius, me behind him because I do not know where the potions lab would be.

We find Lucius in his office. He's working on stuff for the ministry. "Lucius, I need your assistance gaining access to muggle prisons," Tom asks him. "I would also like to know where your potions lab is," I add.

"Potions lab is by Draco's room, he can show you, or you can ask an elf. And, sure, we can check out a few muggle prisons after I finish signing this paper," Lucius replies, signing the paper.

I nod my head and leave to find Draco. After a few minutes of looking, I give up and summon an elf. She leads me to the potions lab, where I find Draco and Snape.

"Thank you, Tipsy," I say as she pops away.

"Hey, Draco, good morning, Professor," I say as I walk into the room.

"Hey Harry," Draco responds.

Snape just looks at me confused, "What are you doing here, Mr. Potter?" he asks.

"Oh, I slept here, I've been aiding them a little," I tell him, not really trusting Snape, yet.

"Aiding them with what?" He pushes.

"I was asked to brew a potion, that you don't know, which is why they didn't ask you. I am helping them with a plan that requires my potion," I tell him while setting up a cauldron.

"You haven't been able to brew potions at an acceptable level for a while, why would you be making this potion?" Snape asks.

Draco chuckles, "Well, when he had the potions block removed, his potion-making skills improved," Draco tells Snape.

Snape looks at both of us in surprise. "How did you end up with that on you? When did you get it removed?" Snape questions.

"Well, Dumbledore put a lot of blocks and compulsions on me. I got it removed a year ago. Before the start of the fourth year," I tell him.

"Dumbledore placed them on you? What other blocks and compulsions did you have placed?" Snape asks.

"Well, I had loyalty compulsions, hatred compulsions, along with my magical core being blocked, and my intelligence in each field of magic blocked as well. They broke when I went through an inheritance," I tell him.

"You went through your inheritance three years early?" Snape drawls, not believing that last part.

"Give or take a few months, yes," I respond.

Snape looks at Draco, who just nods in agreement with me.

"How?" Snape asks, looking worried about my response.

"Near-death experience. Being whipped, having acid poured on me, then being kicked and punched for a while, can lead to that," I tell them.

Both Draco and Snape pale. "Alright, I need to gather ingredients for my potion," I say, walking over to the ingredient cupboard.

I grab some polyjuice ingredients, however, I also grab a few that stray from the normal polyjuice recipe. I walk over to the station I had set up and get to work. I let the potion simmer for several hours, as the instructions, before moving on to the next steps.

"What are you making?" Snape asks, looking over at my ingredients and the cauldron.

"I am making a potion that works like a polyjuice potion, except better. I haven't named it yet," I explain to him.

"Why would you be making that?" Snape asks.

"Because it was asked of me. Why are you here, Snape?" I ask him, getting tired of all the questions.

"I am here to teach my godson potions. I help him out during the summer to help him prepare for the upcoming year," Snape tells me.

"So, how long until you tell Dumbledore that I was here?" I ask him, questioning where his loyalties were.

"I don't tell him what I do during the summer, only things about death eater meetings, that Voldemort lets me tell him," Snape replies.

"So, you are playing Dumbledore. Good, means I won't need to worry about you reporting me to him. Tell me, did you know about the blocks and compulsions?" I ask, generally curious if he knew.

"No. Dumbledore doesn't tell me stuff like that. He does keep trying to use your mother to guilt me into helping him, though. So I am not as surprised as I should be," Snape explains to me.

"I see. Let me say this, my mom is not mad at you, she forgave you a long time ago," I tell him, then turning back to add the next ingredients to the potion.

Snape stares at me for a while, in shock of what I said. He is also watching how I make the potion, every step, even when I crush the nightshade berries instead of slicing them. He gets up and walks out, Draco having left a while ago after he cleaned up.

Three days later my potion is finished. Tom has the muggles, all obliviated and imperioused. We apparate to Azkaban, with a few of the unimprisoned death eaters, and swap out the imprisoned death eaters with the disguised muggles. We then leave, with no one the wiser.

We arrive at the manor and Narcissa takes them to a separate section of the manor, to get them treated for the exposure of death eaters.

"Heal them as much as you can in a week, then bring them to me and I will cast the spell to heal them the rest of the way," I tell her, not wanting to make her feel unneeded.

She nods and takes them away, everyone leaves, except Tom and I.

"I think I am going to head back to Sirius's place for a bit. Let me know if you need anything," I tell him.

He nods and I apparate back to 12 Grimmauld place.
