Harry's POV.

When classes started the next morning, I was rather bored throughout all of the classes. Nothing was interesting, considering I already knew most of it. I had been reviewing the Hogwarts curriculum after I slept. It showed me how biased this school was, compared to Durmstrang and Beaxbatons.

I am sitting in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class when the pink toad walks in. She explains that we will be following the Ministry-approved curriculum. Then she went to explain how unacceptable it was to see the gap in knowledge between the years. She even went to describe the 'horridness' of being taught by a non-human. I observed that many people were upset at that comment, even some of the Slytherins.

The mudblood finally spoke up, "Are we going to get to practice the spells?" she asks.

"No. Why would you need to do that, if there is no danger?" She says, looking at Granger.

"What about Voldemort?" Ron pipes up. So, this is how they are going to drag me into their shit.

"He is dead. He is not returning, nor has he," Dolores states, glaring at Ron.

"What about dark creatures? After all, aren't they all vicious and unruly?" I ask, deciding to play a different tune.

"Well, I suppose they are, Mr. Potter. But the Ministry has a good handle on them," Umbridge states, looking thrown off.

"How are we supposed to keep ourselves safe, while waiting for an auror to show up, if we aren't able to practice the spells to defend ourselves, now?" I rebuke.

"I suppose you are right, Mr. Potter. We will practice a few of the spells, but the rest will be purely theory study," Umbridge compromises.

"That is all I ask," I tell her, looking a bit smug as she turns away from me to address Ron.

"You, however, Mr. Weasley, will have detention with me at 7 pm, for trying to start chaos in my class," Umbridge says sternly.

"What about Harry?" Granger asks.

"What about him, Miss Granger?" Umbridge asks him.

"Isn't he going to get detention?" She asks.

"Why would he get detention? He brought up an excellent point. Keep it up, Miss Granger, and you will find yourself in detention with me too," Umbridge responds.

Granger stops arguing with a huff. Umbridge then gets on with the lesson.

At lunch, I sat by the twins, drinking my coffee. Ron and Hermione came up to me, "Mate, why didn't you tell her that Voldemort is back? You were in some of the Order meetings, so why would you not defend me?" Ron asks.

"Well, why did you two try to get me detention with her?" I ask in response.

They both look down in 'shame.' I shake my head and turn back to my conversation with the twins. The traitors eventually walk away with a huff.

"Try not to get detention with Umbridge, she will be using blood quills as the punishment," I warn them.

The twins pale a little, but nod in understanding. I look at the head table and see that Dumbles is looking at me, along with Snape and Umbridge. I smile my innocent 'Golden Boy' smile at Dumbledore, before returning to my coffee. I see the fake twinkle in his eyes as I turn away.

Nothing really interesting happened until I reached History class. Colins came in and handed me a paper. The piece of parchment was a letter from Dumbledore, asking to see me, along with the password. I show Binns the note and he lets me go.
