Harry's POV.
I lay awake in a chair in my room, reading the book I found on ghouls. I learned that I cannot eat human food, it will make me sick and weaken me. However, I can drink black coffee and normal water. I also don't need to eat every day. I can survive on one body for up to two months. There is something for ghouls called blood wine, which is an alcoholic drink since we cannot drink normal human alcohol. Nothing can penetrate my skin, except another Kagune. Kagunes turned out to be a predatory organ, like an animal's claws or teeth.
I have enhanced strength and speed, along with my other senses. We don't need much sleep either, only like It is very rare for a ghoul to have a child. Magic of any kind does not work on a ghoul, not even Legiliemcy, or the killing curse. Dementors can't even hurt us since we do not have real souls. We also don't need as much sleep as a normal human, magical or muggle, we only need around three hours each night.
I smile at the part that mentions I cannot be killed by the killing curse. After I finished the book, I put it on the table next to me, moving to a Dark Arts Parselmagic book.
It was interesting, to say the least. By the time I got tired, I was more than halfway done with the book and had perfected the spells I had read.
I lay down in bed and instantly fall asleep, being pulled into a weird vision, of Tom's.
He appears to be planning a ritual, using me, somehow getting my blood. I also learned that the Triwizard Tournament is at Hogwarts this year, whatever that is. But they plan to use that as a cover to be able to get me to Voldemort. The guy bowing at Voldemort's feet, some guy named Barty Jr, will be disguised as a DADA teacher, he will put my name in the tournament. They bring in some caretaker of the house, he's a muggle. They kill him, that is when I gasp awake.
"Perfect," I smirk. The one flaw in their plan is that no magic or muggle thing can break my skin. I will need to get them my blood myself. I conjure up a vial and head into the bathroom with it.
I release my wing- like Kagune, only, and catch a few drops of blood in the vial. I am curious how using my creature's blood will affect this ritual. Deciding to let that be a surprise, I put a stasis charm on the vial of my blood. I leave the bathroom and put it in my trunk, keeping it there until it is needed.
The next morning Sirius barges into my room, "Harry, come downstairs, we have a surprise for you," he says, jumping up and down on the balls of his feet.
I nod, then shove him out the door. Deciding to take a quick shower before venturing far out of my room, I smell like human meat and blood, I don't want to do that to Remus.
I took a quick shower and got dressed in a black t-shirt, a pair of black ripped jeans and my leather jacket. I put my wand in its holster and head downstairs.
I see Remus and Sirius holding a few presents.
"Happy Birthday, Harry," They shout at me.
I stare at them in shock, since I haven't really celebrated my birthday before. I give them a smile and take the gifts they got me.
I open the first one and see that it is a book on blood rituals, in parseltongue. I smile at them, gratefully, before moving on to the second one. This gift was a new broom care set, which is good, even though I don't have a broom anymore. I open the third one, and it's a new broom. I look up at them, beaming with happiness.
"Thank you, Remus, Sirius," I tell them.
"No problem, Harry, we remember what happened to your last broom, so we thought we should replace it," Sirius states.
"We also know you are a parselmouth, so that book was perfect for you," Remus adds.
I hug them both, before letting them go eat their breakfast.
