Daisy came back to us. She surprised us at Niall's. Only later did we all find out that Brooke knew all along.
"We got you so good." Brooke says sitting on the couch.
Daisy is trying hard not to look at Zayn and the girl he has been taking out lately whose name always escapes me.
Zayn is making no efforts not to look at Daisy, who's hair doesn't look as crisp of a white as it was when I was doing it. I'll have to help her. I wonder how his date feels about this.
Darcy has yet to let go of Daisy. I see Louis watching her too.
Darcy is still crying over the arrival of Daisy. Darcy is the only girl I know who is a pretty crier. "I thought I would never see you again, and America is so far away, and it's scary..."
"it's not scary." Daisy tells her.
"They drink tea cold!" Darcy shouts.
Daisy throws her head back and laughs and I shake my head.
"Iced tea. It's good." I tell her.
"I rebuke thee satan." Darcy tells me.
I laugh at her.
"It actually is good though..." Brooke backs me up.
Darcy looks at Daisy. "This is why I needed you."
Daisy laughs. "So how's Lance?"
I pause and look at Daisy, she gives me a look. We both know she asked about the boy Darcy went on one date with to make Louis realize that he's about to loose Darcy if he doesn't make a move right now.
Darcy makes a face. "He tried to take me home on the first night." Darcy tosses her hair in a way that makes me think of a head cheerleader not a chemist. "Really? Do I look like Taylor Swift?"
Daisy goes wide eyed and then bursts out laughing, she falls over on the couch into Darcy's lap.
Then Darcy makes eye contact with Harry and laughs at her own joke.
And then I laugh at the worried way Harry looks at me.
And then Harry laughs at the way I shove him.
I smile at him and shake my head. Today was a good day. I managed to forget all of the fans, my old picture, the fact that true love doesn't actually fix everything.
Unless Harry and I aren't true love.
The thought actually makes me shiver.
"What?" Harry asks quietly.
"Nothing." I tell him shaking my head.
"Can't read her, can't read her, poker face." Darcy sings. I can tell shes a little drunk.
"A little gambling is fun when you're with me!" Daisy sings after her.
"Russian roulette is not the same without a gun!" Brooke stand up.
"And baby when it's love if it's not rough it isn't fun!" Darcy slurs on the last word.
"I think that was the dirtiest think you've ever said!" Daisy busts out laughing.
"Then you've never heard me talk about the bae." Darcy smirks.
Now I laugh. I laugh so hard the I have to hold on to my side because it hurts. Darcy laughs with me, and it's high and lilting.
Her bae is either Colin O' Donoghue, or sometimes it's Louis. Lately it's been Colin, because she needs to get over Louis.
Darcy is still giggling, fallen on her side on the couch. "I'm drunk." She says.
