This is a manga that I have picked up after a long time being in my "plan to read" list...I started watching the anime first when it first aired in Summer 2019...And then by it's 7th episode, when my interest for this series grew more and I realized it was not the normal action seinen manga or anime...I picked it up and now I have reached Vinland Saga's latest chapter and waiting for the next chapter to release. This review can get a little larger, so, please still read it...
Vinland Saga is an amazing historcal manga which is centered on the Norse lands. Specifically, the Vikings. This manga involved the Vikings and their wars, the time, the feudal system and the lives. The main character is a by born Icelandic person and becomes a human with full of regrets, rage, avenging thoughts and plain aggression. The characters in this manga is another plus point as they are all historic figures, most of them follow their styles and rules. Although, the manga artist Makoto Yukimura did fictionalize a lot within these characters...Some are yet true to their real identities. As someone who has high knowledge in history, I approve that Vinland Saga is historically very accurate. Pick it up if you're currently watching the anime of it and really liking it.
