Chapter 5

Jake POV

After spending most of the day with Cheryl she was finally ready to confront Toni.

"You sure you ready?" I asked "We can always do this tomorrow."

"It's now or never Jake. I have to do this one way or another. I can't keep living like this." She said I nodded and looked at her.

She nodded grabbed my hand and sighed. "I'm ready." She said

We both walked inside the Serpent Bar and looked around for Toni who was working at the bar serving drinks.

"Toni we need to talk." Cheryl said

"Okay about what?" She asked and stopped making drinks as she looked at us.

Fangs started to walk over and nudged before I got a text and looked at it.

rolled my eyes and put my phone away. "I know what you did. I know what happened between you and that ugh horrible serpent." Cheryl said

"What are you talking about Cheryl?" Toni asked trying to act confused. "D*mnit I saw you kiss him okay!" Cheryl shouted and everyone in the bar went silent.

"We're done!" She said and grabbed my hand before we walked away.

I drove Cheryl back at her house and sighed trying to process what just happened back there.

"You gonna be okay Cheryl? Being here by yourself?" I asked

"Don't worry about me JJ. I won't go suicidal she was just a lover I wanna forget." She said "I'll be fine."

I nodded and started my bike back up. "And JJ,"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you, for everything."

I slightly smiled. "I'll call you tomorrow Cheryl." I said before taking off.

I drove back to my house and laid down on the couch sighing once more.

I don't think I should be doing this. Cheryl seems like a good girl and I'll be hurting her feelings if I continue to do this dare. I can't do this it's wrong, but I can't stop because it's almost like I'm not even acting.
