I quickly pull off the boot and stick it back in its box and then the sock as well to keep myself from trying on others of my precious collection, opting to pull out a pair of deep purple Supras before standing up, Lukas still trying to pull himself together.

"Do I have time to shower?" I question as he finally starts to stand up, eyes his own vibrant brown when he looks at me again with a smile.

"Sunday dinner doesn't start until 5. So I'd say so." He chuckles, and then his brow furrows as I walk over to my duffle bag and pull out my makeup kit and roll it up in my bundle of clothes. He doesn't question it and I'm glad. We had already gone over the makeup thing, and while I normally wouldn't wear any just to hang out, sometimes a little bronzer and blush go a long way to put others at ease.

I start heading for Cricket's bathroom when Lukas clears his throat.

"My bathroom has a better shower," Lukas mumbles, his hand rubbing the back of his neck while his caramel cheeks take on a pink tint, looking adorably awkward for someone so big.

Aurie blushes and grips his clothes tighter to his chest, "L-Lukas. Showering together is not taking it slow."

If my skin wasn't so tan my face would probably look like a tomato. I should have clarified. Squeezing the back of my neck I sigh, "That's not what I meant. Just. I have better water pressure... my own hot water tank."

The relief is visible on Aurie's face and he nods, accepting the offer.

"You can use my bathroom whenever you want...actually any of my room is open to you, though I guess you wouldn't need to go into my office..." I let my voice trail off as I realize what I'm doing, "I didn't mean to ramble. My bad."

Aurie chuckles and his smile is just as warm as his eyes. I'd get him to move into my room eventually. I can't say it out loud at the moment for fear of scaring him off... but eventually, my room would be our room.

"If you want I could use your bathroom only...?" Aurie murmurs his seemingly permanent blush deepening as he looks up at me again, "I... I know Alphas can get o-overprotective and possessive and stuff. I know it's hard having me sleep in Crickets room, but this could be a compromise?" Aurie mumbles, beet red at this point.

I've never seen Lukas so happy, his grin contagious. He doesn't ask this time before he hugs me, pulling me tight against his chest as he breathes into my hair, "That would make me very very very happy, Rie."

My heart nearly stops at the sound of the pet name Cricket had given me months ago rumbling out into the world via Lukas's baritone. I normally would want to fight anyone who had the nerve to use it other than Cricket, but hearing it from Lukas makes me shiver in such a positive way.

"Can you help me carry in my bathroom duffle then?" I murmur, nuzzling his warm chest through his soft grey shirt before pulling away.

He grins and grabs the one I point to and leads the way. It makes me feel so shy... mingling our things together like this.

I know it's an eventuality, but it makes everything feel real. Real in a way that it wasn't before. More permanent.

Lukas leads me into his bedroom, and finally into the bathroom, setting my duffle down carefully in the corner, the smile still on his cute face.

"I'll just be in the kitchen. The towels are on the rack." Lukas smiles, but as soon as the whimper leaks from my mouth his happiness vanishes and he steps towards me unsure of what to do.
