I found myself huddled in the corner of my room. Tears poured down my face. The scene kept replaying in my mind. I shook my head, desperate to get the image out of my head. It was like it was taking over me. Dad was gone, there was no doubting it. I brought my palm to my face, wiping my eyes. I looked over to my bed. My wand lay there, motionless. I didn't feel like getting up. I was so weak. My legs felt like clay, molded into place. I raised my hand up to the door, muttering under my breath. "Colloportus." The door locked into place. I shuddered, the meltdown coming on again.

                                                                               *****

There was a knock on my door a few hours later. "Go away." I whispered. The sender obviously didn't hear me, because I heard "Alohomora" being said behind the door. "I said go away!" I said, louder this time. Stella stood in the doorway, pocketing her wand. "Harry has something to tell you," she said. "He wants to know if you want to come with us on the Horcrux hunt." I swallowed.

"How long?" I asked.

"After Bill and Fleur's wedding."

"No."

"But, Hayley-"

"No."

"Okay. I'll make sure to say goodbye, then."
She went to leave. With a wave of my hand, the door closed.

"Don't go." I said.

Stella gave me a small smile. She walked over, sliding down onto the floor. She wrapped her arm around my shoulders. "He'd be proud, you know." she whispered, playing with a strand of my hair. I shook my head. "Of what? There's nothing to be proud of."

"Wandless magic. That takes a lot of mastering."

I scoffed. "For you, maybe. I'm just too perfect."

Stella let out a laugh. "There you are, Hayley."
