Chapter 9:Jesse stop

Waking up the next morning I found myself drooling on the white carpet. When Aaden and I were outside that night we talked a little while longer before coming back in and trying to sleep. This time Aaden gave me a pillow and a blanket from the large bed.

I was the first to wake, it was still a little dark outside but the sun was starting to rise. But not enough to where the ball of fire was showing. It just barely lit up the mountains, and the bottoms of the small clouds.

I stood and stretched my arms back, I walked over to the glass door and opened it. I stood at the rail looking down." What if jumped?" I asked myself," I wouldn't have to go through all the bad times meant to be would I? I wouldn't have to deal with this stupid pain in my heart and mind. My head wouldn't be cloudy and my heart would be free." I sighed looking back up at the forest.
" Nice poetry." I heard a chuckle from behind me, I looked back. Yeuna. She was leaning up against the sliding door frame with her arms crossed.
I smiled," Thanks, it is one of my best works." I chuckled turning around completely and leaned my back on the rail. She smirked," My head wouldn't be cloudy and my heart would be free?" She asked uncrossing her arms and walked over the rail beside me," Talking about him, huh?" She asked nudging me. I nodded not looking at her. "How do you still like him? It's been years since you have talked to him. How are you still not over him?" She asked in a concerned tone.
"I don't know Yeuna, if I did I would never have started liking him the first place." I stated looking at her, with my brows pushed together,creating wrinkles in my skin.
" That's fair. I just don't understand you sometimes, you flirt with guys but always go back to talking about James even though you know you will never have a chance with him. You have had so many different opportunities to date better guys then him too! Like why still him, you don't even know where he is do you? Yeah it's great and all you both served in the Air Force and you liked him and all, but it's been forever. Are you that in love Leah? It's been years. I just don't get you-"
" Yeuna stop. I tell myself about this all the time. I question it all the time. Gosh. One moment I think I like someone guy and willing to try loving someone again, then I remember him and I can't..." I looked down hitting my hand on the rail. " I can't love anyone else. Or maybe I can, I just keep falling in love with him all over again. Gosh I hate it! And maybe you should mind your business sometimes!"I stated.
" I know how you feel, sometimes I feel the same way-"
" Then why would you ask those questions?"
" To make sure it isn't for a different reason."
I nodded slightly, not really understanding why she said that but I didn't want to talk about this anymore. The sun was now blinding me and turned my back to it and walked inside, leaving Yeuna standing there.

Aaden and Jesse were sitting on the floor, Jesse was being held by Aaden. Was Jesse crying?!Jesse held his face with his glasses set to the side of him.
I stood there watching, I didn't want to disturb what was happening between them. Instead I listen to the whimpers and calming hushing from Aaden.
"Jesse it will be ok." He whispered to Jesse rubbing his arm. Jesse looked at him and shook his head shaking his head,"No! Aaden, not everything will always be ok! We could all die! I will be the first to go! I can barely run without tripping over myself!" He gasped for air in between words," We could all die because me!" He started to ball even harder, tears where staining his dirty cheeks in lines that were glossy from the water.
Aaden sighed," Jesse, that's just a fear we have to live with now. You can't just put all that pressure on yourself just because you have a disability. We all have weak points and strong points." Aaden said giving Jesse a small smile. Jesse looked at Aaden and started crying even more before pulling Aaden into a hug. All of his nostril juices were now on his shirt and I kinda felt bad, it looked really nasty. Aaden slowly hugged back, it didn't look like he wanted to be in that hug, I didn't blame him. I wouldn't either.

Aaden looked up at me and put his finger to his lips. I nodded. I was trying so hard not to scream, Jesse says he is a manly man what is this? Now he needs hugs from the group mom?
But I bit my tongue because I would want the same. A hug sounded good right now, I don't remember the last time I got one.

Yeuna slid open the door," Ew, what is this gay shit?" She said looking at the two only making Jesse cry harder.
I couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the remark. Aaden rolled his eyes and shook his head patting Jesse's head gently.

After about 10 minutes Jesse had calmed down because Yeuna had given him a beer from the fridge. Soon he passed out like a baby on the floor.

Yeuna, Aaden, and I were now sitting on the couch talking about what to do.
"Alright, so what are we going to do now? I mean we could stay here, but we don't know if walkers are still hanging around here." Yeuna said looking at the two of us.
"Yeah that's a good point but what about the safe zone, on that sign?" I asked.
" It never said where exactly that safe zone is though." Aaden said leaning into the couch.
"So what are we just going to go with the original plan and go to Leah's cabin up in California? That's pretty fair on foot especially with all the threats that are possible. Like walkers, there could be people that could rob us, like raiders from the walking dead." Yeuna chuckled a bit.
" But we have weapons." Aaden said looking at Yeuna.
" We don't have enough amo for the guns to last that long." I said messing with my shoe.
"We could always get more," he replied,"plus we have some weapons that don't need amo."
" Yeah but there old, and we don't have that many.Incase we break or lose them." I replied back, leaning in.
"So what do we do then?" Yeuna asked, looking at both of us.
" I say we stay here until we get what we need, then try to figure out where that so called safe zone is. And if we can't then we go to the cabin." I said looking at the both of them hopping they would agree. Aaden nodded and looked at Yeuna who also nodded.
" Alright I say we just chill for the rest of the day, since someone had a little break down. You and I could go look around town to see what we can find." Yeuna said looking at me.
" Sounds good to me." I said looking over at Aaden," wait why do I have to stay here?" He asked
" Because your the mom, and need to take care of the drunk." I said chuckling a bit.
Aaden sighed," Fine, whatever."
