Elsa's POV

This was all going to fast. I was a guardian too, Pitch almost killed me, Jack saved me, Jack was hurt, and we were flying back to the castle to save Anna. But Jack was hurt.

"Are you sure about this Jack?" I asked.

"I'm sure." Jack said. We touched down in front of the castle, and Jack let go of my hand.

"Go inside and stay with Anna and Kristoff. I'll stay here and stop Pitch." He told me.

"But what if he kills you again?" I worried.

"Hey, don't worry. I'll be absolutely fine. It takes more than Pitch has to kill me." I started to walk away, but Jack grabbed my hand and pulled me back towards him. I was about to ask what he was doing when he kissed me. Then he pulled away.

"Elsa, I love you." I stood in shock. I didn't know if I should laugh or cheer or scream or what. But then Jack pushed me inside and closed the door.

"Wait Jack!" I called, but he had frozen the door shut. I hit it with my fist, then turned and started running through the halls. I had to find Anna. I finally found her. She and Kristoff were in the ball room. They were talking, but stopped when they saw me.

"Where's Jack?" Anna asked.

"He's holding Pitch off." I told them. Now there was nothing to do but wait.

Jack's POV

I stood in front of the door and held my staff in front of me. I can't believe I had just done that. But we could worry about it later. After I stopped Pitch.

Wind howled, then black sand condensed to form a shape. Suddenly, Pitch was standing in front of me. Well, only a few feet away. He chuckled.

"You aren't looking so good Jack." He laughed.

"I'm fine." I replied.

"Why not go to the old troll? He'll heal you. Leave the girls."

"No. This is my duty. I promised."

"And how? You won't last ten minutes." I was silent. I knew he was right. He would just stall until I died, then go inside and get them.

"Face it Jack. Even if you manage to run with them, I'll find them. You can't take away their belief. You can't turn back time. You can't erase memories." He continued. You can't erase memories. A memory surfaced. "Everyone's memories of you will vanish, including your own." A reached into my pocket. I felt the now familiar weight of the red crystal. Was I willing to lose Elsa, if it meant saving her.

"What's in your pocket Jack?" Pitch asked. Yes, I was. I would whatever it takes to protect Elsa. I pulled out the red crystal. I saw a flash of something in Pitch's eyes, something I had only seen there once before. Fear.

"Recognize this?" I asked with a grin.

"You wouldn't lose, wouldn't give, everything for a silly girl!" Pitch shouted. I dropped the crystal and Pitch lunged forward, but he was to late. My foot crushed the crystal, and a small crack could be heard. Wind rushed by, and I felt as if I was being pulled into the crystal. I saw the look of complete anger and hate on Pitch's face, and it was worth it. Then everything faded until all I saw was the full moon, and even that was slowly fading.

Pabbie's POV

I felt the rush of magic, and I smiled. He had made the right choice. I looked up at the full moon.

"He's done it Manny. Protect him. I fear that Pitch will not give up so easily." The magic could not erase the memories of any of the guardians or Pitch, but any mortal would forget about Jack and Pitch.

"Watch him Manny. He'll need it."

Pitch's POV

No! That little twerp! He had ruined everything! I saw him now, lying on the ground. He wore brown pants and a brown shirt, as well as a brown cape. He also had brown hair now. Mortal. Well, I could do nothing directly to him now. I summoned a snowstorm, and within moments he was buried in the snow. It was no less than he deserved, dying moments after he regained mortality. Then I melted into black sand and slipped away. It was time for me to take on my own mortal form. And I knew just the person who could help me do it.
