Chapter 8 - The Demon of the Mist!

"OW!" the blond yelled suddenly as the Takeshi pinched the back of his hand.

"For someone this small, you really talk like a big guy." She smirked as Naruto frowned and everyone else laughed.

Team 7s adventure led them to travel in a boat on a sea.

The ninjas were trying to keep quiet since you couldn't see anything because of the thick mist that was there and there could be enemies hiding. One of Tazuna's comrades rowed the bunch to the other side.

Tsuki sat next to Naruto and Tazuna and the other three were on the other bench.

The girl had a headache, due to the fight her team members had since they bickered who would sit next to her. Being annoyed the Takeshi grabbed the first arm and sat down, her luck was Naruto.

Ignoring the sensei's command to keep quiet, Sakura started whispering. "This fog is thick. I can't see anything."

Tsuki focused on the front and narrowed her eyes because she wasn't able to see a thing as well. 'Ugh, I hate this...' she thought slightly anxious.

In a spur of a moment, the boat swayed and made her fall on Naruto's lap, she tried to sit up but the boat swayed again.

Uncomfortable, Tsuki looked up to the boy and saw how he had a blush on his cheeks. He held his hands on her shoulders to steady her.

"Ki-chan! Are you okay? Are you scared? Don't worry, I'm here to protect you!" he yelled while rubbing the back of his head.

The girl deadpanned and sat up quickly. "Uh no, Naruto-san... the boat swayed and I fell over... and don't yell so much. We have to be quiet..."

Sakura decided to agree with her crush with intense nodding and a glare at Naruto. "Ugh, Naruto! Stop making a big deal out of everything! As if Tsuki-chan would come to you when she is scared! Why would she?! And you are way too loud, you idiot."

Tsuki sweatdropped. "Actually you are both way too loud..."

Sakura and Naruto froze in shock and then heard a snicker and turned to Sasuke. He looked at the two of them with a smirk and then looked over to the bluenette.

As they locked eyes, he shuddered surprised, and turned his head away, letting a 'Hn' out. Deciding to shrug it off, Tsuki watched the scenery in front of her but still seeing nothing but mist.

After a few minutes, their boatman told the ninjas that the Land of Waves was in front of them. As soon as he uttered that, the mist revealed a large wall made of bricks.

Naruto stood up and yelled in amazement. "WOW! It's huge!*1

The boatman hissed. "Be quiet! I told you to be quiet! Why do you think we traveled without the engine?!"

Naruto held his mouth shut with his hands and nodded furiously.

Kakashi turned to Tazuna and started to speak. "Tazuna-san, before we reach the land, I want to ask you something. Why are those men after you? If you don't tell us, I'm afraid we will have to end this mission when we drop you on the land."

Tazuna stayed silent for a few seconds, before saying. "I have no choice but to tell you... no... I want you to know the truth. Like you said... this is beyond the scope of a C-Rank mission. The one who seeks my life is a very dangerous man."

"Who is it?" Kakashi asked the bridge builder.

"You know him, at least I think you heard his name. He is one of the wealthiest men in the world. The shipping magnet Gato."
