CHAPTER 2: When we met

Let me take you back where I met Peter and how we started dating.
I met Peter in the grocery store, I was just pushing my trolley and not looking where I was going, well let me say I was so fed up with my father he keep coming in my life now that he sees that am getting successful why does he care anyway thinking of today he called me telling me that I am capable of using the medical card to a private doctor and I asked him “dad do you realise how old I am now? I have been treated in state hospital since I was born and all of a sudden you want me to use a medical card? Why do you care … now that am fully grown?”

“I am just trying to repay you the past and I apologise for my past mistake I know I was stupid but it was too late when I found out about you kid, you and your mother don't deserve this I know  ” he said

“ Stop trying to be part of of my life now because you have failed when you left my mother alone with her pregnancy just to get married to another women and my mother have to take care of me all by herself, she took me to school and she took me to the hospital when I was sick, so seriously just live me alone right now" and with that I hang up. Yes I so much despise him, so much, he can’t keep on barging into my life like he want, who does he think he is.

  I bump into someone.
“Oh shit! am so sorry, I was not paying attention to where I am going, am sorry" I apologized to who ever the person was.
“Its okay lady am not hurt, stop apologizing”,and then he smirked “but that’s cute of you to do that .”he said with a laughter
Oh my! did he just call me cute?
Well you are hot too mister I thought to  with a sly smile on my face.
“ Having a bad day?” he asked.
“ Is it that obvious?” I sigh and look away from him 

“No not really but you seems  so lost in your thoughts and you cant even see someone in front of you” he said shaking his head
“I am so sorry just have a lot in mind” I replied with a sad smile
“ It okay really, everyone is fighting their battle that nobody knows how it feels trust me I have been there " he said while looking for some vegetables and put them in his trolley

"Hey would you mind showing me which side can I find snacks?” he continue
“I think is this side” I replied leading the way cause I wanted some snacks
“ Oh am Peter by the way" he introduced himself
"Tina" I said in short, we held a conversation until the till point and we part our ways
“It was nice meeting you Tina I will see you around" 
“Yeah maybe … see you around Peter"

A week after the incidence in the grocery store with Peter I went to visit my best friend Alma at her work place she asked me to buy her lunch and I should take it to her. We have been best friend since primary school, so she is qualified for university but didn’t get a scholarship and she can not afford to pay it herself,so now she is working to save up for her tuition fees for next year. 

“Here you go madam” I said putting plastics on her table I bought her chicken and chips, she was so busy looking in her computer God knows what she was doing so concentrated like that 
“Gosh! You fucking scare the shit out of me you stupid” she said putting her hand on her chest, I chuckled, she can be funny sometimes,  before I could throw her a nasty talk someone talked “ Alma! language!” it was a male voice when I raised my eyes it was him he was just passing by and happen to o here what Alma said.

“Oh my! what a small world? Peter?” I asked him so surprised to see him once again ,he look so fine wearing overalls
“Yeah, Tina right?” he asked
“Yes so what are you doing here?” I asked him
“I work here, actually I am the manager of the company " he explained
" And so if  I may ask you the same question here, what are you doing here"  he ask looking at Alma

Alma cleared her throat making us look at her “ so how did you know my boss, if I  may ask?”
“I met Tina at the grocery store last week" Peter answered before me
“Well actually I bumped him with my trolley and …”I was cut off by Peter again
“And she kept on apologizing which was funny I was not even hurt" he said with a smile
Alma just groaned feeling irritated
“ Ohhh there goes my best friend with her stupid candy coated heart, he is my boss you know don’t even try anything funny, you are too nice sometimes" she said looking at me, I just laughed.

"Oh by the way this little puppy here m😜 happen to be my best friend and as you know she is always the boss I brought her lunch" I explained looking at Alma with a smile on my face I know she is now irritated

"Oh please don't call me a puppy and you are the little one here" she say
"Oh right then bring back the food to the little one " I say wiggling my eyebrows point at the plastic of food

"Oh she it food, listen I love you so much  and you are not little just leave the food alone please" she say a give me that funny face of hers, I just laughed she is so cute.
"I will live you to deal with your best friend her" he gesture at Alma and laugh I giggle and turn to Alma  who's face was buried in her food I just smile and sit next to her.

Alma works in a papers making company, the produce papers and she works as a secretary, but she is such a pervert and she is full of mood swigs I don’t even know how she works with people each and everyday with such manners, but for me, we get along well and I know when to say or do this and that.

We exchanged number with Peter that day on, we stated hanging out.
Little did I know he was liking me, and after a months he asked me out.
