*ellie's pov*

-soooo.. what's going on with you and chase? anthony asked while the two of us were walking out of the hotel to the bike stand.
-i'm not sure, why do you ask? i mean doesn't chase talk to you about that sorta stuff, i thought you two were like best friends? i replied, i knew me and chase were official, but we were moving fast and we hadn't even talked about going official official and revealing it to the public and i was afraid of overstepping so i didn't say anything.
-he usually does, but he's been sort of distant the last day or two, i don't know, just wanted to see what was up i guess, he continued and shrugged his shoulders.
elmo and everybody else had already taken a bike and were headed towards the beach and there were only two bikes left.
-we should probably leave a bike for chase, is it ok if i sit on the back of yours? i asked anthony and he nodded, handing me a helmet.
-no way am i wearing that, i said and laughed, putting the helmet back.
-yes way, he said and grabbed the helmet again, putting it on my head, if you get hurt because of me i'd end up in a lot more pain than you when chase would find out. i didn't respond anything but just clasped the helmet closed underneath my chin, wondering what anthony meant.
-m'lady, he got on the bike and gestured for me to get on the back of it and i did.
the beach was about five minutes away and me and anthony shared my airpods, listening to throwback music and singing like idiots the whole way there.
i had texted sarah before leaving to see if she was going to the beach as well and she said yes so i figured it would be just us and the guys again, but i was wrong. we left the bike and started walking down the beach towards a group of people, as we got closer the silhouettes of people got more clear and i could make out their faces. the guys that i already knew were there, jacob sartorius and the guy and girl from the creators lounge at the tour but other than them i didn't recognize anyone. we got all the way to them when anthony started calling someone over,
-i'm gonna get a drink do you want one? i asked him and got a nod in response. i looked around to see if there were any coolers and saw one over by some beach chairs. i rummaged through it and pulled up the most generic thing i could find since i didn't know what he liked.
-hey? i heard someone say and looked up from the cooler at the beach chairs where the girl from the creators lounge was sitting in some guys lap while eyeing me up and down.
-hey?.. who are you? i asked in response to her bitchface glaring at me.
-do you know anyone here? cause like, this is a private party, like, invitation only kind of private, she asked, completely ignoring my question.
-i'm ellie, a friend to chase and some of the other guys, oh and sarah over there, i said while pointing to sarah on elmo's shoulders playing volleyball and laughing loudly.
-you know chase? she asked, still eyeing me up and down.
-yeah.. why? are you guys friends or something? i replied, confused with her reaction.
-doesn't matter, this is jaden. she said and wrapped her arm around the guy.
-hey, he said with a nice smile and i already knew i liked him a thousand times more than the bitch in his lap. i replied with a polite smile and left with the two cokes, walking back to anthony and handing him his drink.
-this is noen, he's part of the closer friend group on tour but he arrived late so i don't think you've met him yet, anthony said and gestured to the guy standing next to him. he had peachy pink colored hair and a nervous but sweet smile. we hugged and laughed for a bit about our matching hair colors before i saw that chase had arrived and was talking to someone, asking if they had seen me.
i threw myself behind noen so chase wouldn't see me and started sneaking up behind him before jumping up on his back.
-looking for me? i said and he laughed.
-i was actually, are you having fun? he asked and put me down.
-we just got here but yeah, i met noen and i mean he's really funny, those two over there however.. i said and nodded my head to my right.
-who? chase asked.
-that jaden guy and the bitch he's with, i said and rolled my eyes.
-yeah, chloe, he said.
-do you guys know each other? i literally can't stand her, i replied and looked over at them to see her looking back at me and chase, eyeing us up and down with a judgmental look on her face.
-not important, do you wanna go somewhere else? i like having you all to myself, he said and grabbed my hand, giving it a small squeeze.
-sure, you have to piggyback me there though, i replied and grinned. he picked me up like a feather and put me on his back.
-i know a really nice place close to here, he said and i wrapped my arms around his neck, leaning my head on his shoulder and just breathing him in.
