Hi there. :)

My pen name is B. Louise Jennings, on Wattpad, I'm known as ArmiLouise or simply Armi. If you didn't know already, I am in college at the moment for Theatre with a minor in Gender Studies (class of 2020, let's GO). I've been writing since I was eleven, and I specialize in romances, humor, and sci-fi novels. I also dabble in spoken word poetry. Despite having an immense love for fiction, both reading and writing it, I actually want to be a theatrical director. Writing is simply a hobby that I enjoy. I'm a 21-year old, African American, bisexual cis woman, and a fun fact about me is that I've actually never been in a relationship. Never even been kissed. But I've read a LOT of fiction, enough to emulate it.

In my time, I've written more than thirty pieces of work, and Fearless was during my earlier writing stages. I was sixteen when I wrote Fearless. I didn't own a computer at home, so I used the computers at school after I finished my schoolwork to write it. Then when it was done, I would save it on a flash drive and take it to every class. Fearless was born out of my intense love for Taylor Swift. I believe, at the time, she had just released Red or Speak Now, but I was still fucking with her older works. Fun fact: the first song of hers I've ever listened to was Sparks Fly, and it was before I was going to get my hair done in a beauty shop. Since then, I've been hooked.

I listened to Fearless, the song, not the album. And it easily became my favorite song. I gain inspiration for my novels from music primarily. If I hear a really good song, you can bet your ass I'm going to use it to write my next novel. So Fearless was that song for me. At the time, also, I was extremely interested in age difference relationships. I literally wasn't attracted to anyone my age at the time, and even dated someone who was five years my senior, which was put to a stop because, you know, he was a little insane. Don't get me wrong, you can date anyone you want, but that comes with its own set of challenges, which I highlight in the books. It can be fun, but keep in mind that the two of you are in different points in your lives and it can get hard really fast.

So I had a song in mind, and an idea in mind. I knew I also wanted to incorporate High School Musical's Can I Have This Dance? and the idea of rape into the book. Hence why Cheyenne is a dancer and also a victim of rape. It was all coming together. I wanted this girl to have the roughest past in the entire world because I had a firm belief that you can have the shittest life ever, but when you're in love, it all falls away, which is wildly not true. Please do not believe that once you're in a relationship, your problems or your feelings about your problems will disappear. It's not a thing, and it's actually a detrimental way of thinking.

I had a story road map. I wish I could tell you I didn't, but I did. I wasn't just freeballing it. I was freeballing the rewritten series, because I got too lazy to write a road map and the original series acted as a road map in a way anyway. So I had a plan for the original series. I followed it almost to a T. And I finished the series without any huge hitches. I don't think anyone personal to me has ever read this book, so I had zero feedback about it until I posted it on Wattpad. But sometimes I reread my past works for fun to see how I've grown as a writer. And when I reread Fearless, my literal thought process was how have I not been stoned to death by this gross misrepresentation of rape, age difference relationships, high school, and mental illness? Like, y'all should've stopped me.
