After getting Loki back and bringing Thor on board, we manage to reach the helicarrier without any other interruptions. While flying back, I keep having this feeling as if someones watching me. I look up from my lap and see Thor intensely staring at me. I stare right back at him and he wouldn't look away. It was like he was trying to look into my soul. I gave up and went back to looking at my lap.

Once we land, about eight men escort Loki to a cell and the rest of us meet on the bridge at a conference table. I'm sitting next to Steve at the table as we all ponder on what Loki's true motive was for coming to Earth. I hear Loki's voice over the computer screen as Fury talks to him.  "It was built for something stronger than you." Fury tells Loki.

"Oh, I've heard. A mindless beast. Makes play he's still a man. And a... mortal with untold power surging through them." he inquires. I glance around at everyone else, seeing if they are looking at me.  "How desperate are you, that you call on such lost creatures to defend you?" Loki spats.

"How desperate am I? You threatened my world with war. You steal a force you can't hope to control. You talk about peace, and you kill because it's fun. You have made me very desperate. You might not be glad that you did." Fury retorts.

"It burns you to have come so close. To have the Tesseract, to have power...unlimited power. And for what? A warm light for all mankind to share. And then to be reminded what real power is."

"Well, let me know if 'real power' wants a magazine or something," Fury says he walks out the room. Loki walks towards the camera and looks at it with a knowing smirk. I turn off the monitor, not wanting to look at him any longer.

"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" Bruce jokes with a small, sarcastic chuckle.

"Loki's gonna drag this out." Steve points out. I gaze up at Thor, who seems to be in deep thought about something.

"So, Thor, what's his play?" I ask, taking him out of his thoughts.

"He has an army called the Chitauri. They're not of Asgard, nor any world known." He explains, "He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the Earth, in return, I suspect, for the Tesseract."

"An army from outer space?" Steve asks incredulously. I huff, thinking about all of this. I did not sign up for fighting aliens.

"So, he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for." Bruce points out.

      "Selvig?" Thor asks.

      "He's an astrophysicist." Bruce explains.

      "He's a friend." Thor adds.

"Loki has him under some kind of spell, along with one of ours." Romanoff says.

"I want to know why Loki let us take him." Steve begins, "He's not exactly leading an army from here."

"I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats. You could smell the crazy on him." Bruce mentions.

"Have care how you speak. Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard. And he is my brother." Thor states.

"He killed eighty people in two days." Romanoff comments, glancing up at Thor.

      "He's adopted." Thor says flatly.

"I think it's about the mechanics. Iridium...what do they need the iridium for?" Bruce ponders.

"It's a stabilizing agent." I hear Tony's voice comment as he walks into the room. He whispers something to Agent Coulson before joining our discussion. "It means the portal won't collapse on itself, like it did at S.H.I.E.L.D." He explains as he walks towards Thor. "No hard feelings, Point Break. You've got a mean swing." Tony adds, as he gently hits Thor's arms.  "Also, it means the portal can open as wide and stay open as long as Loki wants." He continues as he walks to the computer monitors that control the helicarrier. He begins give random orders to the agents who give him strange looks. "That man is playing Galaga!" He suddenly calls out, pointing to an embarrassed agent.  "He thought we wouldn't notice...but we did."  I watch as he places a hand over his eye and looks at the monitors. "How does Fury even see these?" Tony asks Agent Hill.

"He turns." She replies. He continues to babble about stuff and I zone out for a second. I glance over at Steve and admire his face as he listens to the conversation. He has a sharp jawline could cut anything and his eyes are the most beautiful blue.

"Am I the only one who did the reading?" Tony asks us, bringing me back to reality.

"Does Loki need any particular kind of power source?" Steve asks.

"He would have to heat the cube to 120-million Kelvin, just to break through the Coulomb barrier." Bruce explains.

"Unless, Selvig has figured out how to stabilize the quantum tunneling effect," Tony retorts.

"If he can achieve that, then he could achieve heavy ion fusion at any reactor on the planet." I add. Tony holds his arm out and smiles slightly.

"Finally, people who speak English," he praises.

"Dr. Banner is here to track the cube and Miss Stenson has a degree in Bio Chemistry and technology." Fury states as he walks into the room. "I was hoping you might join them."

"I would start with that stick of his. It may be magical, but it works an awful lot like a Hydra weapon." Steve points out.

"I don't know about that, but it is powered by the cube. And I would like to know how Loki used it to turn two of the sharpest men I know into his personal flying monkeys." Fury says.

"Monkeys? I do not understand." Thor states, confused by the reference.

"I do!" Steve exclaims excitedly. I smile at his little achievement of knowing something in the conversation. Steve looks back at Bruce and Tony. "I understood that reference." Tony has a look of annoyance and then excuses us down to the lab. I wave bye to Steve and follow the boys to the lab.
