I wake up with a pounding in my head and the ringing of an alarm echoing through the room. I look around to see a giant hole in the ground and realize half the team was missing. The only ones remaining in the lab are Steve, Tony, and I. Tony exchanges a shocked expression with Steve and I. "Put on the suit," Steve suggests.
"Yeah." Tony agrees as he gets up, running off to retrieve his suit. Steve helps me up and the three of us run through the halls. Through the comms, Director Fury tells us that we need to get engine three up and running or else the helicarrier would fall. As we turn another corner, Tony walks in a different direction. "Engine three. I'll meet you two there." he calls to us. Steve and I nod and rush to engine three. We eventually come to a door and it takes the two of us to push it open. We help a couple of men out of the turbine and then inspect the damage. It's a miracle it's still intact.
"Stark, we're here." Steve says into the headset we were given.
"Good." Tony flys to the engine in his Iron Man suit. "Let's see what we've got." he says as he examines some wires for the turbine. He then looks at us. "I need you two to get to that engine control panel and tell me which relays are in overload position." he tells us. We nod our heads and look for a place to hop onto. Steve finds a way, and starts jumping up the remains of the engine and I follow. I open the panel and pull it out, inspecting it.  "What does it look like in there?" Tony asks into the headset.
"It seems to run on some form of electricity." Steve tells him.
"Well, you're not wrong." he replies.
"Okay, the relays are intact. What's our next move?" Steve asks him as he pushes the control panel back inside.
"Even if I clear the rotors, this thing won't re-engage without a jump. I'm going to have to get in there and push." Tony explains.
"If that thing gets up to speed, you'll get shredded." I tell him.
"That stator control unit can reverse the polarity long enough to disengage maglev and that could slow it down enough for me to get in." Tony says.
"Got it!" I yell, understanding what he was saying.
"Stand by and wait for my word." Tony commands. Steve stands next to me and wait for Tony's signal. I notice two men with guns walk into the turbine. One of them tries to throw a grenade into the turbine. Steve notices and jumps, smacking it away. He runs in front of the man punches him, causing him to fall to the ground. The other man aims his gun at me, but I deflect it by kicking his gun up, throw him off the helicarrier. As I turn around, another man starts shooting at us and Steve grabs a gun that was resting on the ground and throws it at the man, but misses him. He pulls me along as he climbs up a ladder to avoid the gunshots that are being fired at us. He then picks up another gun and starts shooting at the man, making him scurry away. Another minion of Loki's slowly creeps on us, and shoots at us causing us to back away and dodge the bullets. Without knowledge of what was behind me, I go for another step back and fall of the edge of the remaining catwalk.
"Steve!" I yell, struggling to grab ahold of a wire. I was practically holding on for dear life. The wind crashing into me doesn't help either. The wire is on the verge of coming undone and the only hope I have is Steve's ability to pull me up.
"Guys, hit the lever." Tony says into the headset.
"We need a minute here!" Steve replies to him as he pulls the wire.
"Lever. Now!" Tony repeats. Once I get close enough to Steve, I reach my hand out to him and he grabs it and pulls me up, which results to me falling on top of him. Another guy then comes in and shoots at us. As Steve tries to move me out of harms way, I feel a sharp, burning pain in my arm and I yelp.
"Are you hurt?" Steve asks me. I shake my head, trying not to focus on the pain. He gives me a concerned look before getting up and pulling the lever. The man from before continues to shoot, but luckily Tony comes in and flys into the man. Steve lets out a sigh and looks at me. He notices me holding my arm and he moves my hand away, revealing a bullet wound.
"Are you hurt anywhere else?" He asks. I shake my head. He helps me up and guides me back inside. The comms come on and Fury comes in
"Agent Coulson is down. They called it." I look at Steve and he looks just as shocked as me.
