Missing Piece// Steve Rogers [1]

Final Battle Pt. 2

      As we walk onto the jet, there was a maintenance man working on it. He hears our footsteps and turns around to stop us.  "Hey, you guys aren't authorized to be in here." he warns.  

      "Son, just don't." Steve sasses. He sees the seriousness on all our faces and hesitantly walks off the jet. Barton and Romanoff sit in the pilot and co-pilot seats while Steve and I sit on the bench in the back.   "Hey.... I know that it might be a bad time to do this but...uh..g-go on a d-date with mm-me?.." Steve stutters, blushing.

      "Yes Steve, I will go on a date with you." I smile and kiss him on the cheek. "But first, lets finish the task at hand." He nods with a smile and becomes serious again.

      "Stark, we're on your three, headed northeast." Romanoff informs Tony.  

      "What? Did you stop for drive-through?" Tony's voice echoes through the jet. "Swing up Park. I'm going to lay them out for you." I watch through the window of the jet to see aliens fly past us. Romanoff shoots at them with the turret that was attached to the jet and I felt the jet go upward, making Steve and I jump up. I manage to look out the window and see that we are at the Stark Tower and I see both Thor and Loki fighting on the balcony.

      "Nat?" Barton calls to Romanoff. 

      "I see him." she answers. She starts firing and he simply aims his scepter at us and fires it. I feel the jet jolt and I stumble back into Steve, who manages to hold me up. The jet starts to descend and Steve's grip on me tightens and grabs a bar from above us. I try to hold tight onto Steve's uniform so I wouldn't fall over. The jet bumps into something before crashing into the ground. Once it settles, Steve quickly grabs his shield and the four of us run out of the jet. I was in shock of the destruction of the city. Cars were crashed into each other and the remaining people on the streets are running for their lives.

   "We got to get back up there." Steve states, pointing towards a bunch of civilians in a building being surrounded by chitauri. When we arrive at the area, we hear a loud growl. I look up and my eyes widen at the sight of a giant mechanical worm-like-thing come from the portal. The creature comes close to us, but continues to fly above. Along with it is more chitauri shooting and attaching themselves to the buildings surrounding us. "Stark, are you seeing this?" Steve asks into his headset.

      "I'm seeing, still working on believing. Where's Banner? Has he shown up yet?" Tony replies into the comms.

"Banner?" Steve answers into his headset.

"He's not here." I reply for him.

"Just keep me posted."
