Steve and I are fighting off all the aliens who are on the ground in one area while Nat is off in another area. These things are everywhere and let me tell you, they're rough. Our side dies down, so we go to Nat. We hop onto a bridge to check on her and are greeted by her holding an alien gun at us, not knowing it's us. She has a streak of blood coming from her head and her lip is busted. She lowers the gun and rests on the trunk of a taxi. "None of this is going to mean a damn thing if we don't close that portal." she states tiredly, glancing up at the portal in the sky.
"Our biggest guns couldn't touch it." Steve points out.
"Well, maybe it's not about guns." I comment.
"If you want to get up there, you're going to need a ride." Steve says.
"I got a ride." I say walking a few feet away. I look up at the sky and see a few alien air crafts fly above our heads. "I can use a boost though." Steve backs up and sets his shield in front of him.
"Are you sure about this?" He asks, unsure of my plan.
"Yeah. It'll be fun." I say. I charge at a car, hopping onto it and then onto the shield, Steve pushing me into the air. Luckily, I grab a hold of an aircraft and fly over towards the balcony of Stark Tower to see if Loki is there. I jump off the craft and roll onto the floor and to my feet.
"Well it's nice to see you again." I hear behind me. I turn around and see Loki standing there with a mischievous smirk on his face and his scepter.
"Can't say the same bud." I frown at him.
"Why don't you join me? We could rule together over this world! Come on Abha."
"Who the hell is Ahba? I'm Sarah Stenson of Missouri. I will never join you and you're creepy cult!" I state with confusion and anger, "What's with you and Thor with the name calling? It's staring to freak me out."
"You'll soon know, dear Ahba." He replies mysteriously, "Now beware, this may hurt." He grins as he points his glowing scepter at my heart. Before I could do anything, my world goes black.
Third POV:
Steve and Nat continue to fight off the chitauri on the ground and protecting any civilians. Steve is throwing his shield and charging at the aliens while Nat has her guns, shooting. "Captain, the bank on 42nd past Madison. They cornered a lot of civilians in there." Barton informs Steve through the earpiece."I'm on it." He answers. He turns to Nat, "You got this?" She nods and he hurries to the bank and quickly makes his way up the the second floor with ease. Steve hops through the window to find an alien holding a strange thing that was beeping. He throws his shield at the alien, knocking it out of it's hand. Two other aliens notice and begin firing at him, but he quickly takes them down. "Everyone, clear out!" Steve yells to the citizens. The beeping continue to speed up and Steve quickly hides behind his shield just as an explosion erupts, knocking him out of the window and onto a car below. Thor walks up to him and helps him up.
"Ready for another bout?" Thor asks Cap.
"What you getting sleepy?" Steve jokes. The two go their separate ways, continuing to fight but Steve is stopped by Sarah jumping in front of him. "What are you doing Sarah? Why aren't you up there trying to close the portal?" She doesn't say a word, but stands there and glares at him with glowing blue eyes. Suddenly she attacks him. She uses her powers to push him back into a broken vehicle. He quickly gets up and throws his shield at her her but she deflects it with ease. He runs up to her and tries to pin her down, eventually he successfully does and he slams her head against them ground to knock her out. She shakes her head, dizzy. She writhes from under Steve.
"Sarah look. It's me, Steve." She continues to squirm, trying to get out of his grip. "Sarah stop! Look. At. Me." Steve demands. She turns her head away from him, trying to avoid his stare. He grabs ahold of her face with one of his hands and roughly kisses her. She is still for a little bit but slowly kisses back. Steve pulls back and looks at her and notices the crazed look gone from her eyes as well as the bright blue color.
"Steve?" She whispers.
"I'm here. Are you alright?" He asks her. She nods slowly and tries get up, but he is still on top of her. "Oh! Sorry..." Steve apologizes, getting up off of her and helping her up. She mutters a thanks and dusts herself off. She looks up to Steve and smiles at him. Without any warning she jumps up and kisses him passionately.
"Thanks for saving me Cap." Sarah smiles. They stare at each other until they heard Romanoff's voice in their earpieces.
"I can shut the portal down." she informs.
"Do it!" Steve demands.
"No, wait." Tony says.
"Stark, these things are still coming." Steve tells him.
"I got a nuke coming in. It's gonna blow in less than a minute. And I know just where to put it." Tony says.
"Tony, you know that's a one-way trip." Sarah warns him. Everyone watches as he flys up towards the portal with a nuke in his hands.
"Tony, don't do this!" Steve says sternly into the earpiece. They all watch as he enters the portal and a few moments later, they hear an explosion. "Close it." Steve tells Romanoff. They watch the portal close, but something starts to fall from it. It's Tony. Thor winds up his hammer but stops when Hulk catches Tony and brings him to the ground. He lays there, motionless. The Hulk roars and Tony gasps as he wakes up.
"What the hell? What just happened? Please tell me nobody kissed me." He rambles.
"We won," Steve says triumphantly through heavy breaths.
"Alright, yay! Hurray, good job guys! Let's not come in tomorrow. Let's just take a day off. Have you ever tried shawarma? There's a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don't know what it is, but I wanna try it." Tony says.
"We're not finished yet." Thor states, directing his attention to Stark tower.
"And then shawarma after."
