Hudson laughed at Ashtons comment, before putting his index finger on Ashtons chest.
"Better watch your mouth, Irwin." He says before Jess pulls him back. Ashton seems unaffected by his words, but Hudson is furious.
"Okay well haha bye." I say before pulling Ashton away before they get into a fight. Once we are fr enough away I start laughing.
"What's so funny?" He smiles
"They way you talked to Hudson. That was priceless." i say and he rolls his eyes.
"Someone needed to put him in his place. He can't talk to people like that." He says and i nodd. "Wanna dance?"
"Sure." I say and he pulls me onto the dance floor. His hands fall to my hips and I wrap my arms around his neck, staring into his beautiful brown eyes. "I don't like how everyone treats you." I randomly say
"Well I'm not very popular so that's just how it works." he says "But you're queen bee so you don't have to worry."
"I am not. My friends act like they own this school. I am not like them. If i was i would have judged you and not ave come here with you. But I wouldn't care even if you showed up in your glasses. Because you are nice and I like talking to you."
Ashton stares me in the eyes for a couple seconds and i think he's gonna kiss me, but we are interupted by someone talking into the mic.
"Excuse me!" Says the student body president. "We are going to anounce the 2014 Homecoming king and queen!" Everyone cheers and so do i.
"And the queen is....Makenna Zales!" Ashton cheers along with everyone else and a spot light shines on me. I make my way up to the stage. The boy announcing sets a plastic crown on my head and i laugh.
"The king is....Jason Derabond!' He says and my good friend Jason walks on stage. Part of me wishes Ashton would have won, but he's not popular and this isn't the movie. Music starts playing and everyone makes a circle for me and Jason to dance in. He leads me down the steps and into the crowd.
We dance for about 30 seconds until Hudson shoves Ashton into the middle and we stop dancing.
"I'm gonna have to steal her from you." Ashton says. Jason nodds and steps away, Ashton taking his place with the spotlight still on us.
"What are you doing?" I ask, smiling.
"Something i should've done a long time ago." He says and leans down, kissing me. We stop dancing and everyone is still in a circle around us. I don't care if people laugh or make fun of us, because i honestly like Ashton alot. I kiss him back and smile in the kiss.
When he pulls away his cheeks are red and the spotlight drifts off of us, the song coming to a close. I smile up at Ashton for a couple more seconds.
"Do you wanna get out of this place?" He asks and i nodd. He grabs my hand and pulls me out of the gym and out into the courtyard.
"What do you want to do?" i ask, sitting down on a bench "I'm really done with Homecoming and all my friends. Actually i don't even think they are my friends. They are judgemental, they never really do friend things, and we never really are nice to each other."
"You're not like them, Kenna."
"I like when you call me that." I say and lean into his chest as he wraps an arm around me. "We could go to your house or something?"
"Well my parents are home so that'd be weird. We could just go to the park around the corner...they have a pool?" I nodd and take off running to the park, Ashton close behind.
When i see the gates of the pool, Ashton jumps the fence and unlocks the door for me. I set my phone and shoes on the counter, before running around jumping into the pool. I come up and see Ashton jumping in. He comes up and i relise his blazer isn't on and his white shirt is basically see through.
"You're way cooler then i ever thought. I'm so glad I came here with you. Correction, I'm so glad i met you."
"Do you want to be my girlfriend?" He asks and i swim over to him, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Of course Ash."
"I love when you call me that." He says, quoting me from earlier.
We swim in the pool for 30 more minutes until Jess, Hudson, Jason, Alena, and some other people show up with beer and a boom box. Me and Ashton climb out of the pool and Jess runs and hugs me.
"I didn't know you guys were here!" She says, waving at Ash. "Party with us!" She says, holding up her bottle.
Ashton comes out of the pool and grabs my hand after she walks away.
"I have other plans.." he says, pulling me into the bathroom. He shuts the door and doesn't turn on the light.
"Ashton we aren't having sex." I say and he laughs
"I know but we can do other things if that's okay with you..." He says and I shiver from his cool voice.
"Like what?"
"Like making out." He says and places his hands on my hips, pushing me against the wall. His lips connect to mine and he pulls my bottom lip inbetween his teeth, suking on it. His lips move to my neck and then down to my collerbone.
"Don't leave hickeys. My parents will kill me." i laugh and he returns to my lips. My fngers tangle in his hair and things are about to get heated when the door opens and the lights turn on. I look over Ashton's shoulder to see Hudson and some other football players.
Ashton pulls away and turns towards them. My face is bright red because they just found me and Ash making out.
"Yo Irwin." Hudson says, and they make their way into the room. My heart is thumping and i think they are going to beat him up. They all rush towards us and pick up Ashton. He's yelling for them to put him down, but they hurry out of the bathroom. i chase after them and i see them throw him in. When he comes up they all laugh.
"Welcome tot he group, dude." Hudson smiles at him before jumping in too. Ashton looks at me with a huge smile. I shrug and then walk over to him as he climbs out of the pool.
"I guess I'm done with being a loser..." He says, wrapping his arms aroun =d my waiste.
"You never were one." I say, connecting our lips once more. In the middle of our kiss, Ashton turns us around and drops me into the pool. When i come up he's laughing.
"Smooootthhhhh" i say and he smiles, leaning down and placing his lips on mine.
