Me and Ashton have been dating for 5 years and I've never been in love like this before. My 20th birthday two weeks ago, so I'm ready to become an "adult". Today we were going on a date at a fancy restraunt.
I was texting my sister when Ashton called me.
"Hey Ash." I said, getting out my car and walking into my apartment.
"Hey i just wanted to call and make sure you're getting ready."
"Yeah I'm getting ready. It' supposed to snow tonight isn't it?"
"Yeah, so make sure you dress warm... see you soon love." He hung up and i couldn't wait until i got to see him. He had been on tour for the past 4 months. He got back for my birthday, so i haven't spent alot of time with him.
I changed in a jeans and a long sleeved black shirt. I curled my hair and pulled it back into a low ponytail. The makeup i put on was natural, but very elligant. I checked the clock and it was about 8 o'clock. I put on some flats.

I sent the text and slide on my gray coat and a white scarf. I grabbed my bag and walked out my door.
As i drove down town to the restruant, i saw signs along the road. My jaw dropped as i read the signs flying past me.
The first one read "We've been together 5 years". At frist i thought it couldn't be for me, but i saw the next sign read "Yes Lyla this is for you"
I started tearing up as i giggled, this couldn't possibly be happening. I saw the next sign coming into view
"You make me the happiest man on earth." I couldn't keep my thoughts straight as i serched for the next one.
"Everytime you smile.." I had tears streaming down my face... he couldn't be... this couldn't be happening.
"It reminds me how i want..." I had turned down the music so i could focus on the reading the signs as they flashed by
"to spend the rest of my life.." I was a mess and i was almost to the place the restraunt was at
"With you.." I saw the place in the distance and my heart was thumping. I pulled into a parking spot and stepped out. The restraunt was in like a shopping place, so there was a gazebo in the middle. I starred in awe as Luke, Calum and Michael were all standing with their guitars, singing the acustic version of 'Wake Me Up' by Ed Sheeran, my favorite song.
There was a crowd of people listening to them play, but they were staring at me. I slowly walked across the snow covered floor. There were Christmas lights wrapped around the gazebo and dangling. I slowly walked up the the middle and looked around, wiping tears away.
Then i saw him.
He was wearing a tux and he walked across the 'stage' to me.
"Ashton.." I said, sniffling with a huge smile on my face.
"Lyla i love you so much." He said, his shaking a bit in mine. "It's been the best 5 years ever. I have never loved anyone or anything as much as i love you. You have already given me a lifetime of happiness, so let me spend the rest of our lives giving that back to you."
Everyone was awwing, but everything else around us just melted away as i listened to every word he said, and it felt like a complete dream.
"And there is no question in my mind that you're the one made for me. You're the most perfect to me.. so maybe there is one question." He laughed. He reached a hand behind his back and into his pocket, making me gasp. He bent down on one knee and everyone was silent.
"Lyla Marlene Wallace, will you marry me?"
My heart completely stopped. The look on his face was priceless. His cheeks were red and so was his nose. He had a small smirk played out on his lips and i laughed, breaking out into a smile.
"Of course Ashton." He jumped up and wrapped his arms around me, lifting my feet off the ground.
"She said yes!" Luke yelled into the mic, making everyone break out in cheers.
Ashton placed my feet back on the ground, then dipping me and connecting our lips. He lifted me back up and i held out my left hand, as he slipped the beautiful ring onto my ring finger.
I was going to be marrying Ashton Irwin, my boyfriend, my soul mate, and most of all my best friend.
