I Want An Explanation Owen
Chapter 16
Meredith's POV
I have barely had any time to rest these past few days. I've been on my feet constantly, but now that I'm on break, I decide to go to Owen's office because I'm curious to know why he admitted my sister to Psych without asking me. Looking into his office, I notice that he's sitting down doing some paper work. I knock on the door and he looks up at me. He stops doing his paperwork and opens the door. "Hi Meredith, may I help you with something?" I snap at him. "Yes you can. You can give me an explanation as to why you admitted my sister into Psych without evening asking me. Not only did you go behind my back, but you also disobeyed Mark's wishes." He gives me a puzzled look. "Did you come in here to yell at me or to ask a genuine question?" I spit at him. "I want a damn explanation as you why you put my sister on the same floor with people who belong in a mental asylum."
Owen shoots me a death glare. "I put your sister on the psych floor because she was starving herself on purpose and she attempted at suicide. I didn't mean to go against anybody's wishes. Lexie Grey needs help and Psych is the only one can give it to her. I know she's not crazy and that she is going through a rough patch. That's why I did what I thought was best for her." I sigh. "Owen, I'm sorry for snapping at you. I'm just under so much stress right now. I'm worried about Lexie and Mark." Owen pulls me in for a hug. "I know Meredith. You're doing the best you can dealing with everything. You have a lot on your plate so it's understandable that you would snap every now and then."
I give Owen a small smale. "Thank for giving me an explaination. I appreciate it. At least now, Mark won't try to hurl a vase at Derek." Owen goes pale. "Wait.... Mark tried to throw a vase at Derek?" "Yes he did, but Derek's fine. Mark's just as worried about Lexie as I am." Owen nods. "That's understandable, but make sure you help keep his temper in check. I don't want him hurting anyone in the hospital." "Will do, Owen. I have to get back to work because my break is about to end. I'll see you around Owen." He smiles in response and I leave his office. I grab some charts from the nurses station and get back to work.
