NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. It's an annual "contest" (no real prizes) that challenges you to write a 50,000-word novel in one month! (That's about 1,600 words a day, if you write every day of November).
On the NaNoWriMo website, https://nanowrimo.org/, you can track your wordcount, join a region, and meet other writers on the forums. The website offers plenty of ways to keep you accountable, but I've decided I need a little extra motivation this time, so I'm hoping you all can help me out.
The contest starts November 1st, so until then, I'll be planning and outlining.
If you've participated in NaNo before and have any advice, feel free to post it in the comments below!
