chapter 18

The morning sun Didn't shine on my face this morning. I opened my eyes. I was still in the far corner from King's bed. I noticed I wasn't on a hard floor. Instead I was on King's pillow. 'I thought he was mean but I guess not.' I smiled in my head and got ready to take a shower. King was probably already downstairs because I did see him in bed.

After I took a quick shower I put on the cute dress Meliodas gave me. I even put a small red ribon (or any color) around my neck as a choker. It also had a gold bell (or silver). I finished the outfit with a side pony tail (if you have short hair you can do whatever ig).

I went downstairs to find everyone sitting down and eating. I sat at the far table with a small glass of water. While eavesdropping, I heard that apparently we were going to find Dianes Gideon, and go to some fighting festival for it. I slowly sipped my water watching the trees and grass flow in the soft wind. Soon finding a silhouette was behind me. The shadow slightly above my head with two ackward strands of hair sticking up. "Yo." I looked behind me. Meliodas smiled and ruffled my hair. The leprechaun sat at the chair across from me. "You know where were going right?" He asked. Nodding back I looked out the window.

"I'll probably leave after you guys get the sacred treasure. I feel something bad is going to happen after." I said monotonously. My voice lightly cracked so I cleared my throat a minute. "Why? Inko could protect you just fine." His head cocked sideways. 'It's not that I want to leave, I really don't. I just feel that, I'm getting too close to one of the sins. And I know he already cares for someone. That someone is not me.'

I coughed a bit scooting closer to the window "Because I don't belong with the seven deadly sins and a princess. I'm more of a alley cat." I spoke somewhat truthfully. He looked down. "I understand." I couldn't help but notice his mood drift slighty to sorrowful. Yet it immediately change to happy, I could tell it was fake. "Well when that day come I wish you safe travel." He winked, got up, and gave me a hug. This is suprising, comming from Meliodas.

"Why?" This time I whispered giving a confusing look." What?" He asked letting go. The rest of the group was still eating. "Nothing." I shook off the feeling in my chest. It made me want to hug him longer, it made my body all jiddy. I ignored it and planned my leave. I left upstairs to mine and King's room.

'I think I'll head off to....' "I don't know anywhere that's not looking for me" I said putting my face into a pillow. This was getting frustrating. For a minute I kept my head in the pillow. "Maybe If I do this long enough I'll suffocate." I said sarcasticly. Then hearing the door open I limply lifted my seemingly heavy body. "Whaaat." I groaned. It was Meliodas. "I brought you some food, I thought that your "suicidal" thoughts could use a break." The blonde joked and handed me a plate of (f/f). "Did you make it?" I asked. The male shook his head no. "Good." I laughed and took a small bite.

"Not half bad" I said aloud. In the corner of my eye while sitting on the bed, Meliodas stood near the door. His normally happy face was frowning. "Whats wrong?" I asked. "It's just that... if your gone..." my face saddened, he came closer with each pause "I won't be able to grope you." He finished. He then gropped me earning a glare that could set fire to any soul. "YOU PERV!" My voice was full of anger and embarrassment. "I'm not a perv, I'm a guy." He smirked and left the room. A deep red flustered my usually (s/c) face. He's gonna have to start watching his back. "I'm just a guy." I mocked finishing the tasty dish on my lap.

A while later we entered a small town with many people scowering the grounds. The gideon was visible. Meliodas quickly whispered something in Ban's ear and walked over to me. "Follow" he said and walked toward a small forest. "Quickly." I followed and walked beside him. "What up?" I said. I told inko to protect the others. And I don't think Meliodas would let me die. I hope not at least.

We got deep enough into the forest to where there was nothing but trees surrounding us. I took a quick look around still walking. Meliodas abruptly stopped and I ran into him. His tall buff figure put his hands around my wrist and put me against a tall tree. It didn't hurt because he didn't slame me against it. "What are you doing?" I asked looking into his emerald eyes. That were clouded with a look I've never seen. "This." He said leaning his lips toward mine.

I couldn't react so I just let it happen and closed my eyes. His lips touched mine, something I felt when he did that made me want to kiss him back. So I did. And it stayed soft and full of passion. He soon trailed down to my neck. Using his teeth to untie my bow. Sending shivers down my spine. "M-melio-" He covered my mouth. Now I saw what was in his eyes. Lust. "Sshhh~" he smirked

The bell chimed as it fell to the ground. The blonde boy leaned closer and kissed my neck. Leaving a small love bite that soon turned to many more down my shoulder. I felt guilt when he did this. 'I know he doesn't love me' I thought. 'He loves Elizabeth.' Before he could do anything more I stopped him and pulled him into a hug.

"Meliodas." I said sadly. I felt a tear slowly fall. "You don't love me, you know it." Another tear ran down my face. I looked up at him. "You know you love Elizabeth. You showed me that when we found Ban." I looked him sraight in his eyes that looked empty. He knew I was right. I felt guilt when I said this. "Plus, you have a festival to get to" I smiled but only a fool would think it's real. "I'm sorry" he said. "It's fine just forget it. It never happened." I smiled.

'Yea (y/n) forget that his lips touched yours, and the marks he made fill my shoulder.' I told myself as we walked back. I put the bow back on and hid the hickeys. But the only thing that kept it obvious was me, wanting more. My body knew what it wanted but my brain felt guilty. Knowing it was just a cover up for Elizabeth not being an easy target.

I stopped suddenly and grabbed Meliodas' shoulder. "I'm leaving." I said. He looked back at me with a confused expression. It then turned to his normal blank face. "Okay." He grabbed my hand and took it off his shoulder. His actions pierced my soul. "Damn how mean can you be?" I asked looking down. Both hands to my side. "First you kiss me then you rub me off like I'm no-one. Thanks." I turned around and walked a random direction. I didn't hear Meliodas walk away. I turned back toward him. "Tell inko to stay with you guys." He nodded and we went our seperate ways.
