Battle on the Bridge

*Kakashi POV*

“Where is Naruto and Sasuke? Its dark outside and I don’t like the idea of kids being outside in the dark.”

“I’d expect this out of Naruto but bot Sasuke.” Sakura said glancing at the door every 10 seconds.

“Sakura instead of showing concern for one teammate you should show concern for all. Sasuke AND Naruto, didn’t get the exercise before you did. Sasuke AND Naruto are out in the dark training. While Masami is upstairs sleeping.” I told her flipping the page in my book.

At that moment the boys came through the door. Sasuke was supporting a worn out Naruto.

“We made it… all the way to the top.” Naruto spoke.

“Well congratulations, starting tomorrow you both will be protecting Tazuna at the bridge.” I told them with my closed eye smile.

“YEAH!” Naruto screamed making Sasuke lose his balance and both of them falling to the floor.

“Ughhh Dobe!” Sasuke said making us all laugh at Naruto eagerness.

Naruto seemed have noticed something. He looked around as if he was searching for something.

“Where’s Mimi-chan?”

“She’s upstairs asleep.”

They accepted the answer and sat down to start eating.

*Masami POV*

I woke up with a terrible headache and one thing on my mind.

Saving Zabuza and Haku from death.

I heard everyone’s voices downstairs. So I walked to the stairs preparing to descend.

“I’m sick of looking at you and that girls smiling faces! You don’t understand the meaning of pain. The feeling of being alone. Neither of you do.”

“Shutup kid!”

“whaa!”

“Look at you over there wining like a little crybaby. It makes me sick!”

“Naruto you went too far!” Sakura shouted

“Banshee SHUTUP!” I said coming down the stairs. “Naruto didn’t nearly go far enough.”

Everyone looked at me as I glared at Inari.

“You say we don’t know what feeling of pain or being alone? Well guess what we do think before you talk. I lost my entire clan at 5 years old. My mother, my best friends, hell even my grandmother. I was the princess of my clan they died thanks to a dirty bastard being afraid of the unknown. My MOTHER died protecting me. But you lost your father. I get that its hurt but don’t you EVER sit there and think you the only kid that bears that pain. Sasuke clan was killed by his own brother. Naruto never knew his parents. And my father parents are gone. MY grandfather his father committed suicide. You sick of looking at us. IM SICK OF LOOKING AT YOU!” I told him and went back to me and Sasuke’s shared room and meditated.

*TIMESKIP NEXT MORNING*

“Okay we’re off take care of Naruto for me please.” Otou-san told Tsunami as we walked out the house.

I clutched the necklace around my neck this may be the only chance of their lives today.

“What happened here?”

I looked up to see bodies scattered alone the bridge.

I knelt down and felt their faint chakra signatures.

“They’re alive just knocked out.” I reported

Then the mist started to roll in and I felt 2 other chakra signatures.

“This is Zabuza jutsu isn’t it sensei?” Sakura asked shaking

“Yes Sakura is his maybe if you learn some jutsu maybe we could ask the same question about you one day.” I told her transforming into my stage 2 transformation.

“Tsk, Tsk Butterfly-hime, being so mean to your teammates.”

I shrugged at him as I fluttered around Sasuke. “It’s the sad but blunt truth.” I told him.

He looked at the team then to Dad. “Kakashi I see you have the brats with you. And look that one still shaking.” He said as his water clones surround us.

Sasuke looked at him and gave that infuriating Uchiha smirk. “I’m shaking with… excitement.”

“Go ahead Sasuke.” Dad told him

Sasuke jumped from clone to clone slashing at their stomachs making them all fall into water.

“You made a mistake calling them brats, that may just bring out Sasuke temper. Sasuke is the best young fighter of the hidden leaf. Saukra has the best deductive skills. And finally the number 1 hyperactive ninja of the hidden leaf Naruto.”

“You forgot about one.” Haku said looking at me.

“Masami Cho Hatake. Her name speaks for its self.”

“At this rate Haku we just might be the prey instead of the predator.” Zabuza said looking at Haku.
