Chapter 5. Hot - Hi

I couldn't sleep very well,  so I went downstairs hoping to find my mom. Which I did she is always up at night.

"Hey mom" I said and gave her smile it looked like she was really busy and tired. "Oh Alice! Why aren't you asleep?!" she said

"I don't know?" I said and sat down on one of her chairs.

"Well since your here, on Thursday we're going to a wedding its your cousin's! She told me earlier today" she said and seemed happy.

"Cool and let me guess she wants you to make the cake" I said "yes she dose." My mom loves baking if you haven't noticed.

"Well then that means I need a dress" I said and jumped up out of the chair I love shopping I could make one myself but last time I made a clothing item it fell apart when I was wearing it in my room.

"Yes, you and you brother will need fancy clothes I'm just so excited that he is coming home" my mom said.

I'm also happy.

"When he comes home we'll go to the mall" she said and stood up

"Oh and mom um I need to tell you something" I said and I pretended to wonder around her office.

"What is it?" She asked while putting away some books.

"Well tomorrow I won't be here the whole day" I said. "Why not?" She asked and looked at me.

I took a deep breath and said "I got asked out well more like a hang out I don't really know what it is but he asked me and I know your overprotected at times but I really..." I didn't get to finish because my mom started laughing.

I had a confuse face and why is she laughing? "Alice you can go okay but your better be back before 8:00 p.m?"

"Now go to sleep before I change my mind!" She shouted.

She said and I left the room I was shocked I mean she's the best mom but also the overprotective one.

What ever at least I can go!

As I went upstairs I got text from Adam. It said

Adam: Hey still up?

I almost didn't respond but I did and we talked about the "hang out" I wish it was a date.

Alice: He and yeah who wouldn't?

Adam: haha so about tomorrow all pick you up at your place if that's fine with you?

Alice: Yeah sounds good my street is Robin 578 west 8th avenue

Adam: Okay thanks so be ready at 6:00 and i can't tell anything more about tomorrow

Alice: Why not?

Adam: Its a surprise

Alice: What...

I stopped and didn't finish typing because he texted this.

Adam: See you and goodnight :)

Why bother to text back when I know he won't respond.

I felt so happy I went to my bed and fell on it like it was giving me a trust fall.

"I had to wait till last minute!" I said to my self in frustration.

It's like 5;27 I don't know what to wear I mean what if he's taking me to a fancy restaurant or to a fast food?!

Hello fancy or causal?!

"Ugh" I moaned and I decided to go with a light pink shirt that says "dream on" it and light blue jeans with my white vans but I wasn't going to change yet.

I went into my bathroom and did my makeup not too much though and brushed my teeth again.

With my hair I just braided one strand and clipped it to my side hair.

I had a few minutes to spare so decided to do some homework while waiting for Adam.

5:41 p.m.

After my homework I went on my phone and played some of my games.

Then I heard the doorbell I almost had a mini heart attack, I went downstairs and I noticed my mom was gone.

So I opened the door and whew I almost fainted Adam looked hot. "Hot-hi" I said really quickly after realizing what I said.

Gosh Alice.

"Huh?" He questioned "I mean hi!" I said.

I felt my face getting red but all Adam did was laugh a little, "thanks and hi to you to" he said and smile. He had a black flannel jacket and a black t-shirt underneath.

Someone pray for me.
