Reyes' House!
"And then, you can't believe it what happened after I told them about the Halloween party!" my mom was telling her story. The story of how she met her first boyfriend on the Halloween season, back during her teenage years.
"What happened!?" Nathaniel was really into the story. And he kept on asking my mom for more stories, and that's when it turned to stories about our first relationships.
"Well, the guy moved close to me, and he took my hand and he bent his knee and asked me out loud... would you go to the Halloween party with me, this year?" she kept on narrating.
"Oh my God... did you say yes? Did you!?" he became more obsessed to know what happened.
"No one cares. After all, it was way back, during the times where our parents had lame things for parties... no offense!" I interrupted their happy storytelling moment. At the time, I had my pajamas on, and outside, it was already partially dark... as the skies were trying to chase the sun away for the moon to come in. Holding my pillow, and facing my mom and Nathaniel telling their boring stories, and we were all at the sitting room.
"Okay, excuse me miss. I hate to break it to you, but our times, were the best of the best. Men were loyal, girls weren't full of drama, and trust me, you could tell who was to be your husband, just when you were still in school!" my mom defended her timeline.
"Whoa, that sucks!" I argued.
"It does?" Nathaniel asked.
"Yes, it does. I mean, who doesn't want to have some fun? I'm talking about having to know boys, go out on lots of dates, make out with them and learn new kinds of stuff... all in all, our timeline is a blast!" and I defended mine.
"How dirty that sounds!" she kept on arguing.
"You know what? I don't want to do this, I mean we all know whose timeline is a blast, and I don't think I should argue more, just to make it clear in your heads!" I wanted out.
"That's right! So, let's say we agree that our timeline is a blast... now, why don't you tell us about your first love, your first time with a boy you liked!" Nathaniel brought this bad idea into the discussion.
"What!?" my ears tried to pretend as if I did not hear that idea from his mouth.
"You know what... yeah, that's a good idea. I mean, I'm a mother, at least I should know how my daughter, who claims her timeline is better than mine, handled her first date..." she agreed to the idea just because she wanted to get back at me.
"Okay, just for your information, I've never dated before in my life! I mean, all the boys are just full of sickness in their brains... I can't deal with that, and do my studies at the same time!" I defended myself.
"Oh, look who's trying to get smart!" Nathaniel said.
"That's not fair, I told my story... what is it that makes you scared to share your story with us?" my mom asked.
"You have no idea!" I thought to myself...
"You know what? Never mind... I'll tell mine!" Nathaniel volunteered.
Oh, oh... what is he trying to do now? I guess we're about to hear the story between him and the devil herself, Evie Porter!
"Okay then, shoot away!" my mom was ready to listen.
"Well, my story began way back, back when I was still a kid..." he began the narration.
"Wow, you found your first girl when you were just a kid!?" my mom was very surprised, but honestly... I wasn't!
