First, you wanna start with a box. Try to make the top and bottom of the box slightly curved, but wide enough to fit four fingers.

Next, draw four smaller boxes on top and a circle on the bottom of the hand, half way inside the box and halfway out.

Then, add more boxes to the fingers and make them shortest to tallest in this order: Middle, ring, index, pinky. For the thumb, try making a curve on the top line, and a slightly curved line going down. Feel free to move those boxes in any way possible.
Now, a more simple hand:

Start with a box, and add two rectangles like this; make sure the single box IS THE INDEX FINGER! I've seen several people who make the single box the pinky, and it looks confusing.

Add a thumb and extra detail - everything here is based off of boxes. Hands are boxes. We are boxes. Is there a box cult? Probably run by cats, honestly. I'd still join.
I'm getting off track, anyway. If you need to ask anything, I'll explain it the best I can. Any more tutorials you want me to do?
