Everything seemed to be such a blur after the whole encounter I had with Shawn and his mother, but once I found Lexie I quickly pushed all that to the back of my mind.

This was for her,
This was her night.

I wasn't going to take the shine away from her.

"Are you ready for the show?" I yelled over the music playing in the background as we stood up in the small private area right beside Bstage. There was only a few seats here, the view was pretty close to bstage but far enough that we stood in the dark like everyone else.

I held on to the snacks that Lexie had grabbed on to while with Cez and of course our boxed waters courtesy of Shawn Mendes the tour, Shawn was participating in this whole eco friendly take while on tour. As we sat down, I saw the arena filing up so quickly with fans from everywhere, screaming girls running around to friends, the sweet smell of popcorn, and food.

"I'm so nervous." Lexie leaned into my side, grabbing my arm and giving it a tight squeeze.

"Hey. It's alright." I spoke in her ear placing the contents in my hand on the chair beside me. I knew this could be a miss or hit with Lex, due to her needs and a specific environment sometimes Lex gets overwhelmed and it causes her to feel suffocated or so scared. She held on to my hand, tightly closing her eyes and taking deep breaths. "I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm okay." She repeated for herself as she swayed slowly side to side. "Your okay. Your okay." I repeated to her as we swayed together side by side in the middle of all this vocal chaos going on around us.

It took a few minutes for her to open her eyes, and she looked at me with a small smile, my smile meeting hers equally for assurance.

"Better." She said her eyes sparkling and her cheeks almost covering her eyes as she smiled so big. I gave her a quick hug, rubbing on her back for comfort as I looked over at the main stage all the way at the end of the arena.

"Hey hun. Mind if we squeeze in with you?" I turned to the sound of Karen and her British cheery accent.

There she stood looking lovely, her blonde hair out wearing her sons tour merch of course, along side Aaliyah wearing one of the pull over hoodies her brown straight hair and a smile just like her mother and brother and then Manny was behind them in his shades and cool original Shawn merch shirt.

"Of course. This is your sons show." I laughed awkwardly mentally slapping myself.

She laughed as she slid in beside me and leaning over to see Lexi, who was completely in awe of the whole family.

"Hi darling you must be Lexi. Nice to meet you." Karen said taking her hand out for Lexi to shake it.

It took her a few seconds to register everything But once she did she played it pretty aloof.

Aaliyah smiled at us and she came over to Lexi and they began chatting very quickly about things like hockey and hair things.

"Is this your first show? Karen asked me as we waited for the show to start.

I nodded, I don't know what it was but I was extremely nervous around her more so with the stunt Shawn pulled in front of her.

"Babes it's okay. Relax, my son likes you and from what I can see your very likable." She nudged me Jokingly.

I began to relax more as I laughed.

"I'm sorry. I just don't know what to say or do. I didn't mean for you to see or witness that—

"Oh darling it's okay. My son cares about you I would hope so I raised him right I liked to think." She said with a laugh.

"You did. He really is an amazing guy. The best I've met so far, he's lucky." I say quickly losing sight that I was just babbling about him to his own mother.
