New York City .

I couldn't believe I was actually here in the big Apple.

This was completely not apart of the plan.

But yet here I was sitting beside Shawn who was calmly holding my hand with his as a support system for me more than anything.

"Come with me babe. It'll be our second vacation as a couple." Shawn said as we sat next to each other on my sofa flicking through Hulu looking for something to watch.

"Your going on business Shawn, not a vacation. Plus I have work I just got back." I sighed grabbing some popcorn and popping it into my mouth smoothly.

Shawn eyes me as he puts the remote down and he goes to the floor on his knees. He grabbed my hands in his and he began to beg.

"Please babe. I really want you to come, I can't be away from you not yet at least. I promise it'll be fun."

As I looked into his light brown eyes I couldn't bring myself to say no, a huge part of me felt the same and it felt good to hear him say it.

So here we are in the back of an all black car on our way to a hotel somewhere in The city.

As I looked out the window I see the city lights in a huge blur as cars zoom past ya on the freeway fast. I guess it's true this is the city that never sleeps because it was well after midnight and it seems like everyone was still out living the social life on a Thursday.

I could feel Shawn's knee bouncing up and down at a rapid pace making me looking down at his knee before placing my hand over it.

"What's the matter?" I asked my eyes waiting to meet with his, but he was nervously looking out the window chewing on his bottom lip out of habit.

"Fans, I know they will be outside this hotel waiting. I know somehow they got wind of my location and I have to warn you there is paparazzi here round the clock. So chances are we might get photographed together coming out. I don't know how you feel bout such a much more public interaction than it is in LA, I'm not to worried about the fans as I am the paparazzi." His hand met with mines over his knee as the shaking came to a slow stop and his fingers brushed over my knuckles.

Now I understood his anxiousness, it wasn't for himself but for me and how I would handle my first true encounter with his lifestyle or as he puts its one of the semi downfalls of being famous and in New York City.

I couldn't deny that that thought had passed my mind as we were on the plane and I skimmed through a leftover rag mag that I had found in one of the compartments.

Watching all these famous celebrities out in the street just doing everyday normal things being photographed from feet away and seeming so unbothered or not even recognizing that the paparazzi taking the photo of them eating ice cream, shopping, holding hands with their significant other, shopping with friends, out to amusement parks with family. It all just seemed normal when looking at the photo but seeing the action that goes behind getting that single perfect photo is so invasive at most.

"It's okay, I mean I knew this would be a thing right. So what can we do about it but face it head on." I assured him with a smile on my face but fear was for sure laced behind it.

"Are you sure Kat? You can always go in before me and then I'll deal with it all as soon as your inside, I'll have Jake with me so I'll be fine." It was like he knew my uncertainty but he didn't seem mad or bothered instead he quickly thought of another solution.

This time my smile was genuine and I leaned over and kissed him quickly.

"Thank you, I love you." I said smiling.
