I'm back home. I was feeling alright today. I was still pretty sick today though. I think I'll be fine. I enjoyed getting to know Dally a little. I'm not sure about the whole greaser thing. Dally was tough and I don't understand why he would start convos with me. Or even hang out with me? Usually I'm good at scaring people away because I'm so weird and awkward.

I was a nobody, I had to admit, but I know I'm an amazing person and I'm happy about that. Maybe Dally understands me that way. I like him. He's my only friend right now that I care about. If he even considers me a friend..

I was just admiring my book shelf. It wasn't dusty. I always kept it clean and the books look new. Gone With The Wind is obviously my favorite. I haven't touched it ever since Johnny passed after those stupid greasers killed him. Yes the greasers. Darry told me they did it. But I hated the Socs more because they were more... annoying and just very mean and violent. Johnny hates the Socs more too. The greasers left us alone. It was hard for me to believe that the greasers killed him but I never knew the truth anyway.

I took a sip of my root beer and walked into the living room. I glanced at the clock and it was 4:32. He told me to meet him at the theaters at 5. I decided to get ready. I didn't really need to do much but to check if my hair was okay. I looked at the mirror in the bathroom. Eh it's coolio.

I needed a ride or I wouldn't get there on time. Steve was in the house so I asked him. "Hey Steve will you drop me off at the theaters. I need to be there at 5." I asked him. He looks at me confused and looks behind him. "You're asking me?" I desperately nod at him. "Please. I don't trust anyone else right now to drive." I said. He sighs. "Okay fine you have to pay me though." Steve tells me.

"Okay okay. I'll pay you tomorrow."

We get in his car and he starts driving. He rolls down the windows and the wind blew on my face. It messed up my hair but I didn't really care how I look anymore. Eventually we get there and I got out his car. Before thanking Steve, he drove off.

I looked around and saw a motorcycle. I was assuming it was Dal's. I walked in the theaters and saw Dally just leaning against the wall. I walk towards him. "Oh hey. You're here early." He looks at his watch. It was only 4:51 not that early. "So you got the money?" I ask. "Of course."

I nod. "Let's go." He says and I follow him. He pays for the tickets. We walk to the people who gets the tickets so we could pass through. "Here I'll give you some money to buy me a Pepsi and get a LOT of popcorn. You can get a drink too." He tells me while shoving money in my hand. "Okay." I watch Dally go in.

I went to grab a lot of popcorn and got a Pepsi. I got myself root beer. Yum, my favorite. I actually never tried Pepsi ever. I just never thought about having it. Anyways, I paid for them and walked in after. I tried not dropping anything because it was hard carrying them all at the same time. I looked around trying to find Dally and he was in the back.

I liked the back. Seeing the movie in the distance was nicer than it being close to you and hurting your eyes. I sit next to him and he quickly grabs his pepsi and takes a sip. like damn he desperate! Desperate and one thirsty motherfucker!

He let me hold the popcorn. The commercials were still playing. The movie starts playing at like 5:30 so we gotta wait for a while. Dally and I had a conversation about people at our school. "Yeah I caught him sucking his own dick I almost threw up." Dal shares. I cringed. "Oh ew!"

Eventually the movie starts playing and I'm enjoying it. Dally won't shut up talking to me though. He keeps talking about the characters but I tried to enjoy the movie and ignore his commentary. "Pony." He grabs my arm. I turned to look at him. "Hmm?"
"Have you tried Pepsi?" He asks. "Nope." I simply said. "Try it!" He hands me his Pepsi. "I'm not putting my mouth on that straw!" I argued. "Just fucking drink. Sharing a straw won't kill ya." He told me. "Okay fine." I took a sip and it tasted really yummy. "Good huh?" He grabs it back.

"Yummy." I said. He laughs softly. Okay I know we're supposed to watch the movie but we need to finish getting to know each other for the project." Dally pulls out the paper and pencil out of his pockets. "Maybe not right now though. I actually like this movie." He then nods.

Dally's POV

I paid attention to the movie but always brought myself looking at Pony. He was sitting up. He looks very interested in the chick flick movie considering the fact that he says he likes horror and all that. He always sat up in the suspenseful parts and frowned every time something bad happened. He smiled when a character makes a joke. I had to admit I found it cute.

Ponyboy had slightly messy brown hair probably because of the wind but it suits him. He caught me looking at him a couple times which I don't care but I don't want him thinking I'm a creep. He's alright. I wanted to smoke a cigarette but I'm not allowed to do it here.

I closed my eyes halfway but I didn't wanna sleep. I ended up drifting off anyway. Suddenly I felt shaking and I opened my eyes to see Pony. "Did I just miss the rest of the movie." I looked around. He nods. "Damn. Okay I'll take you home. We'll finish the paper tomorrow. We have bunch of time anyway since it's the weekend now." I told him.

We got out of here throwing away our left over popcorn and drinks. I got on my motorcycle.

Ponyboy's POV

I was excited because I got to go on a motorcycle. I sat behind Dally and wrapped my arms around his waist before he starts driving the big thing. I liked the wind flowing through my hair and face. It was dark now. 7:26.

I liked to hang with Dally more. After the fun drive he made it at my house and I hopped off. "That was fun." I told him. "Kid, I'll see you. Let's go to my place. I don't have plans with anyone else." He tells me. I smile. Wow he's making plans with us a lot. It made me feel special for the first time. I waved him goodbye and I walked home.

I went to bed and I felt afraid. Afraid that we won't be hanging out anymore after the partner assignment. He probably just doesn't care about me and wants the work done but it was a fun night.

I don't know if I like this book so far but I do enjoy writing it lmao. I feel like umm idk I feel like something isn't right but whatever.
