Dream

I was at home watching tv. Tomorrow I planned for me and Johnny to go watch the sunset today but what he doesn't know is that I'll be telling him my feelings. Darry and Sodapop got ready for work. I was watching cartoons with Two Bit. Steve was just waiting for Sodapop.

We all heard the door knock loudly, even though the door was unlocked. It must be a stranger then. "Get the door Steve, you're closer." Darry tells him. Steve turned the door nob to see a policemen. At first I thought we were in trouble but the policemen looked like they felt bad  for us.

We just stood there and let the policemen in. "Yes sir?" Darry asks. "I already told the parents but your friend Johnny is dead." All of them had shocked expressions on their face. My heart sank. No. No this is just another dream please. He can't be dead. Hearing this news made me want to cry in my bed forever. "No! Not Johnny!" I cried and ran to my room.

I just fell to the ground and continued crying. I was going to tell him my feelings and now I'm too late. It's all over. I lost him as a person too. Johnny was the only one that I was the most close with. I have nobody.

End of dream

I opened my eyes from the most terrible dream of my life. Why do I have to relive my past in my dreams. I then remembered I had to get ready for the new boarding school I'm going to. I went to my phone and decided to call Dally first. He picked up.

"Hey Dal?"

"Yes?"

"Do you know which high school you're going to today?"

"No. I'm not going to school today, my old man is still figuring out which school." He explains.

"Oh okay. Well I have to go to some stupid fucking boarding school. I won't be seeing you much since I'll be living in the school."

"Wow what? I'll come visit secretly."

"By the way, do you know what happened to Curly?" I ask.

"I think he's just not going to school anymore. I heard he fought with a teacher though. I'm surprised he's not going to jail for that." He said.

Eventually we stopped calling and I got ready, changing into some clothes. I packed some clothes in a suitcase and my books, and other things I can't live without. When walking out, Darry was just waiting for me. "No breakfast?" I asked checking the dinner table for any food. "You have breakfast at boarding school." He muttered. "Oh okay." I sighed.

We both walk into the car and he starts driving me there. "So what's this boarding school called anyway?" I ask. "Sierra Vista Academy." He says. I nod. I became really sad because I don't know what this school be like. I know there won't be any Socs. I don't know how things work in this school I'm just a newbie. I smiled that I finally got away from Curly.

When we made it I just stared at how big the school is. With the big gate for the entrance. "What the faq." I said quietly. "Yep, you're going there, have fun." Darry tells me and unlocks my door. I slowly opened it and waved Darry goodbye. I got my suitcases from the back of the car and finally walked in school campus.

There were teens in uniforms everywhere they were all very tall I was a little nervous. I see some kids already fighting each other. I know this school is not safe. I wanted to escape already. I didn't know where to go this school was super big. I just went straight and went to the big building in front of me. I walked up the stairs and saw an office. I walked in and this Lady came up to me. "Oh you must be the new student! I'm your assistant principal, Ms.Edwards..." (PFFTTTT)

"Oh hey." I smiled at her. "In this school we do have to speak formally, call all the adults miss or mister, ma'am or sir. Call students your age by their last name in front of us. You can call them by their first name somewhere else." Ms.Edwards explains and I rolled my eyes. What the hell is this school??

I shook her hand and she motioned me to the principals office.

On the door it said Mr.Olsen so I assumed that was the principals name. "Hello sir." I sat on the chair. We talked for a bit. "You must be Ponyboy Curtis?" He asks and I nod. "Yes that's me." I replied. "I've heard what you did at your other school. I'll make sure the teachers keep an eye on you, boy." He tells me and I looked down.

"You did get the grades though." He complimented. I nod. "We don't waste our time with trouble makers at this school. Anyways, here's your schedule and your uniform is in your dorm. Your dorm room number is on your schedule. I'll have a student help you around. He'll randomly come visit your room introducing himself.

I nod again. "Okay thanks sir." I walked out the office. I was hungry but I didn't have time for breakfast. The bell rings and the building quickly packed up. People glared at me because obviously I stood out in the crowd. I was the only one with no uniform and I was the shortest. "New kid!" Someone said and pushed me to the ground. I groaned. "Argh god I have my life." I muttered under my breath.

I got up and tried exiting the building.
