Helping a Misguided Soul

Jethro tried to hold in his tears of happiness, he hesitated but hugged Ruby.

'Big Brother! Big Brother! Big Brother!" Ruby shouted, using one hand to hold his wrist and the other, waving it up and down.

Jethro sighed.

'Alright, Just please, stay close to me, and be careful," Jethro softly implored.

Ruby smiled and nodded.

She practically dragged Jethro out of the cave.

With Leo and Volcanis...

Leo cut the vines and air swiped for her shoulders, but she dodged it and sent another vine after him,

It wrapped around his arm and spun him around, she let him go.

He braced for impact but never felt it.

He almost teared up when he heard her say:

'Big Brother?"

'She's asking if you're okay," Jethro translated.

'Y-Yeah, I'm alright," Leo replied.

He then realized...

'Whaaaaaat??? How can you understand her!?" Leo asked mildly jealous.

'R-Ruby, You like this guy?" Leo asked.

She smiled and nodded.

'She's saying, Leo, Please, I know you two don't have the best history," Jethro translated.

'Big Brother..." She trailed off.

'But Please, Give him another chance, He's a good person, he's just made some bad decisions, he's just misunderstood..." Jethro translated while tearing up.

Leo's eyes widened,

'H-He's genuinely touched by what she said," Leo realized.

He sighed.

'Alright, I'll give Jethro another chance," Leo chuckled.'Just promise me you won't knock me out again" He quipped.

'I promise," Jethro Responded.

'If only I knew what her power was, What it's called," Leo sighed.

'Big Brother! Big Brother! Big Brother!" Ruby exclaimed.

'She's saying it's Phytokinesis you dummy," Jethro quipped.

'I feel like the "dummy" part was a late addition" Leo quipped right back.

Ruby shot him an irritated look.

'Thanks Girl, That really helps," He said, in a kind and excited tone of voice while hugging her.

She smiled and hugged him too.

They let go of eachother, Ruby then gasped and smiled.

'Big Brother, Big Brother!" Ruby almost squealed.

Jethro's eyes widened and he smiled.

'She's saying that plants need sun, so all we have to do is put on the shade!" He translated for her.

'Ruby! That's a great idea!" Leo said, happily.

Ruby put her hands to her ears and blew a raspberry.
