Chapter 17

The demon bird smirks down at Rue. "You don't remember me?"

She shakes her head. "Why would I remember a bird demon? I kill demons and then ask questions later."

Rue pushes Devil's Grave at it's neck, ready to cut off it's head. "Unless you have a score to settle with me because I killed your demon brothers."

He laughs and shakes his head. "So the demon princess has forgotten me. That's twice you know?"

Rue glares at the demon bird, trying to remember. Then it hit her.

This was the demon that killed her family.

"You're the one..." She whispered.

Ella gasps. She brings her posture back. "This is the demon that killed your family and injured you?!"

"You sick bastard!" Nero shoots Blue Rose at the bird demon, but the demon dodges.

The demon puts his hands up."Woah~! I'm here to give Princess Rue a message from her father!"

"Right~, like we're going to let you 'talk' and not 'kill' Rue." Dante quote on quote with his fingers.

Ella glares at him and elbows his side. "This is no time to joke!"

"Wait, who's my father?" Rue asked in curiosity. "Because I specifically remember you killing him."

"That wasn't your father." The demon bird replies. "Mundus, the Demon King is your real father."

The bird demon then sits down and takes a blue orb out form his mouth. He smirks evilly. "This is your memory. You'll remember why Mundus threw you like trash," He growls at Nero. "To a quarter demon."

Rue looks at the orb in disgust since it was covered in saliva. "First of all that's nasty how that was in your mouth, and second," She punches the demon's stomach. "That's my boyfriend!"

The bird demon rubs his bruised tummy. "What about your fiance, Lucifer?"

Ella gasped. While Dante snaps his fingers. "That's why he wanted her!"

"No no no, uh uh." Rue said, shaking her finger in a no motion. "There is no way in hell that I am going to marry that creep!" She yelled.

"You got that right." Nero said, pulling her into his side.

"Don't worry Rue, we won't let him put a single finger on you." Ella said, giving her friend a reassuring hug. "Hey, boys? I'm gonna go talk to Rue upstairs, no eavesdropping." She said before dragging Rue upstairs.

"Look, I know we have the boys now, and that they may seem like a reason to stay. However, we have been here to long. We never stay in one place for so long, maybe if we would have left when we should have, this would have never happened. If we had left before we got attached to the boys then Lucifer never would have gotten you. We need to leave Rue." She pleaded. "It's for the best Rue." She finished.

"I guess you're right," Rue sighs sadly. She looks up at Ella with shock. "But what if Nero and Dante chases after us? You know, to bring us back?"

Meanwhile down stairs, the guys were glaring at the bird demon. The demon points up. "You know I can hear them upstairs..."

"Just shut up and don make a stupid move." Nero points at the bird demon's head.

"Wait wait wait! I know a way to end Lucifer the fallen angle for good!"

Dante and Nero looked at each other then at the bird demon. Dante leans back on the couch.

"We're listening..." Dante said.

"Well first Rue has to trick into giving up her power and do the fake wedding. She has to put a life source into an orb and then give it Mundus. It has to be a really powerful life source, then he'll believe it's hers. Then as the fake wedding goes on," The bird demon points at Nero.

"Lover boy here barges into the wedding while you and that other chick take on Mundus."

"Wait a second, what's the reason to take down Mundus?" Dante asked.

"Because he has Rue's other soul." The bird demon face palm his beak. "Have you been deaf the whole time?"

"What's with the life source orb then?" Dante asked again.

"FOR THE LAST TIME IT'S TO TRICK MUNDUS TO BELIEVE HE HAS THE REST OF RUE'S POWERS!" The bird demon stands up from all the idiotic talk from Dante.
