Not All Girls Cry

Chapter 15

It had been a week since they last saw Lucifer after he killed the Lady in White. Even with all of the time that had passed the were still on the edge, always looking over their shoulders to make sure Lucifer didn't pop up anywhere and decide to finish what he started.

Rue and Nero were sitting in the shop when Ella and Dante walked in. Ella threw her bag on the ground and removed her guns from her jaket. "That is it!" She yelled. "I am tired of looking over my shoulder every time I take a step." She announced and threw herself on the couch.

"I know El, but just 'till we know he isn't going to do anything." Rue said walking over to where Ella placed her guns.

"And if he never makes a move? Then what? We just live the rest of our lives in fear?" Ella asked.

"Ella, just a little longer." Rue said placing Ella's guns on her lap.

"You know what?" She said standing up and putting her guns in her jaket. "Maybe we should just move onto the next town. We never stay in one place this long and it doesn't look like he is here." She said.

"And if we end up running into Lucifer in the next town?" Rue asked. "And besides, we have ties here now." Rue added letting her eyes wonder to the two white hair boys that were in the room.

"I... I just don't know anymore." Ella said frustrated and threw herself back onto the couch.

"How about we try to find out what Lucifer wants and then use that to bring him out of his hiding place. Then, we got him!" Dante smiles at his plan.

They look at him with stupidity. Nero sighs. "We already know that he's after Rue."

"And he can't risk getting himself killed to get Rue." Ella states.

Rue throws a playboy magazine at Dante's face. "Idiot."

Dante pushes the magazine away. "Okay, then do you guys have any great ideas?!" He growls.

"I might have."

The door to the shop closes and in walks a lady with black short hair and grey outfit. A big gun is slung over her shoulders and she walks like it doesn't weigh allot.

Dante frowns as he leans back in his chair, kicking his feet up. "I don't have money to pay you back yet this month, Lady."

Lady laughs and pats Rue's head. "Don't worry, I came cuz I heard there were new demon huntress here and you guys needed help getting rid of a certain demon."

"Yeah, that's us." Ella sits up from the couch. "I'm Ella, and my partner next to you is Rue."

Lady lifts up Rue like a kid. "This kid is your partner?"

"I'm not a kid!" Rue moves her arms in the air trying to get away from her grip. 

"Which is?" Lady asks.

"18." Nero answers as he steals Rue and hugs her. Lady looked caught off guard at Nero's feelings. "Don't you like Kyrie?"

Rue gives Nero a weird look. "Who's Kyrie?"

Before he could answer. A girl that pops out behind Lady with a smile. "Hi Nero!"

"K-Kyrie?" Nero drops Rue and she lands on her butt.

"Okay, what up with chicks popping into my shop?" Dante asks then whispers. "even though I don't mind."

Ella bonks Dante's head. Lady sighs and points at Kyrie. "This is Nero's sweetheart from Fortuna. She might have information of what you guys need."

"Wait, how did you know that we needed information about Lucifer?" Ella asks.

"News travel fast." Lady shrugs.

"Well, you guys have fun with that. Imma go for a stroll." Rue replies, jealousy boiling inside her. She picks up her weapon and walks out the door.

"And Imma go with her." Ella announces and runs after Rue.

"Rue!" Ella calls as she spots the blue head enter the little bar where they stopped their first day into the town.

Ella opens the door to the little shop and the bell at the top dings. She looked around the shop and and saw a movement of blue at the last bar stool. "Rue." She says softly placing a hand on her friend's shoulder.

"Hm?" She murmers, not looking up from the counter infront of her.

"Do you find the counter more entertaining than my face?" Ella asked in an attempt to lighten the mood.

"Maybe you were right. Maybe we do need to move onto the next town." Rue says.

"No. Like you said we have ties here." Ella said and waited for Rue's response. "Don't let some bimbo that randomly pops into town upset you." She says when Rue's response never comes. "You get your ass back in that shop and show her that Nero is your's now. Show her the badass that you are and don't back down. What happened to the Rue that punched that blonde girl three months ago just for looking at her funny? What happened to that girl?" Ella asked.

"Your right." Rue replied turning to Ella with a smirk on her face. "Let's get back in there." Rue says and jumps down from her seat and the two girls walk back to the shop.
