Not All Girls Cry

Chapter 7

Rue activated her eyes, a small trail of deep red smoke led towards a weird doll shop. She turns to her friends. "Foud one!"

Dante whistles. "That was quick!"

"Well we do better at our job then you do." Ella smirks.

Rue points at the doll shop. "It's in there."

All four of them walk in and they noticed that the dolls eyes move as they walk through rows of other dolls. "This is why I hate dolls..." Rue whispers.

"Scared?" Dante teases. She glares at him.

"They're all nice and pretty on the outside but soulless on the inside. And they're too pink."

"I agree." Ella says and notices some dolls that look like Rue, but in different clothes. But one caught her eye, a Rue doll wearing a night gown and on her chest has a demonic symbol in red.

Something jingles up front of the counter. An older teen with blonde hair with red highlights and blue eyes wearing gothic punk clothes walks in front of the group. "May I help you?"

Rue's vision of the deep red smoke got a little bit weird. The smoke vanishes as it swarms around the teen and appears again. It continued like that until it fully vanishes. She grabs her head. "What's going on?"

"Rue, you have to turn it off!" Ella holds Rue's shoulders. Rue calms down and her demonic eyes dims the brightness and back to normal red eyes. "Look, we think you might have a demon problem."

The older teen laughs. "I don't think so, my name's Lucifer Jones and I'm the owner of this store.

Nothing seems out of the ordinary."

Ella and Dante gave each other weird looks then back at Rue. She nods. "The demonic smoke is gone."

Nero scratches his head in thought. "Maybe you didn't have enough sleep."

"Yeah I guess." Rue sighs. "Let's go back it's getting late."

"Before we go," Ella picks up the Rue doll with a mark. "Mr. Jones. Can you explain why there are some dolls that look exactly like my friend?"

"Please Lucifer is fine, and of course." He sits on a stool behind the counter. "I was in the same bar that you two were in and I couldn't stop staring at your friend. She looked like a masterpiece of a perfect doll. Soon I made a couple dolls like her." He finishes and winks at Rue. She blushes a little.

"I'm not a doll..." Rue grumbles. Nero slightly glares at Lucifer, but he didn't notice. "I would like to portray you, sometime tomorrow at noon?" Lucifer offers.

"By making another doll?" Ella asks in suspicion. He shakes his head and chuckles. "I do more than making dolls. I paint also."

Rue loves paintings, she used to paint back before the incedent. "May I see some?" She asks.

"I thought we were leaving, not seeing some boring art!" Dante complains.

Ella and Rue bonks his head. "DON'T BE MEAN!" They both yell.

Nero laughs. "Serves you right! Old man!"

Lucifer laughs. "Of course," He stand up and goes to the back and then comes back with a painting of a woman with white flowing hair and a wearing a white dress. She was sitting next a pond with small rainbow sharks in it and the the sky was dark but a glow forms around the woman. Giving off a calm feeling and Rue liked it. "It's beautiful!"

"You can keep it if you can agree to the painting offer." Lucifer said. Rue nods and holds the medium painting as the group walks out. They returned and a girl was waiting at the door. "Dante!" she yells. Dante and Nero cursed under their breaths.

"Patty...what are you doing here?" Dante asks.

"Wanted to stay for night!" She opens the door and Rue and Ella couldn't stand the girl's high pitch voice. "Who are these two?!" She glares at them then Dante. "Don't tell me your brought them to sleep with!"

"Well actually-"

"Why yes, they're my babes for the night so go back to your mom's place for the night and we can talk later!" Dante cuts Ella off an and pushes Patty out with Nero.

"Why am I getting kicked out?!" Nero exclaims. "Walk her home and then join the fun later on!" Dante slams the door in his little brother's face.

"Dante?" Ella asked.

"Yeah?" He replied.

"Where do you buy sheets?" She asked.

"Why?" He asked.

"Obviousally Rue found somthing disgusting up there so im going to change the sheets." She said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

"Whatever. Down there." He said pointing at a random store. "See you back at the shop I guess." He finished.

"Uh uh uh uh." Ella said grabbing his jaket. "Your paying." She announced.

"Why?" He groaned.

"Because we dont have any money." She said.

"You think I do?" He asked.

"Let's go." She said.

"Im going to walk around a little. See if I can find the demon again." Rue said.

"Alright let us know if you find anything." Ella told her.

"Will do." Rue replied and took off.

"Aren't you worried about her?" Dante asked.

"She can handle herself. I may have more experience, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't have any." Ella said and then they entered the store.

"So who was that girl?" Ella asked remembering.

"Just some annoying brat that i can't seem to shake." He said.
