"Aren't you cute, little angel?" The demon purred, his spearheaded tail swaying slowly as he leaned over the angel's table.
The duo were in a crowded bar, frequented by mostly monsters. Humans were always frightened to go in, and monsters felt safe without human interference.
The angel looked up from his book, staring judgmentally at the demon. The angel's halo lifted slightly, as if moving to give the angel better eyesight. His white dove wings ruffled from where they were neatly tucked behind his back.
"I thought demons couldn't touch angels?" The words fell out of the angel's mouth slowly, as he put a bookmark in his book to look at the demon, "What exactly are your motives here?"
The demon slid into the booth next to the angel, tucking his knees to his chest. He kept a distance from the angel, trying not to make the heavenly creature uncomfortable. "Well, demons can touch angels, although it'll hurt,..but uhm.. can I...see your hand?" The demon asks, holding out his hand for the angel to see.
The angel was suspicious. Most demons would snuggle close to something they like, and take without asking. This demon kept a space between them, and asked to see his hand. The angel looked up from the demon's hand, "You're not...trying to trick me, are you?"
The demon looked slightly taken aback, and even hurt. He shook his head, "No no, I'm just trying to show you how touching demons and angels work. I'm not...If you don't want to, it's completely fine. I'm not a deal making demon, and I'm not into trickery either,"
The angel tilts his head, "Then what are you gaining by talking to me?"
The demon looks away from the angel. Which was a bad sign. When demons look away, they're either planning, signaling, or about to lie. The demon looks back at the angel, his candy red eyes full of sincerity.
"I'm...a demon, clearly. I'm sure a knowledgeable angel like you knows that already, and I'm sure you already know that demons are, inevitably and permanently, beneath angels. I have no intent, or urge, to inflict pain on any angel because of this. Quite the opposite, actually.
"I'd...like to help you. I'm not saying you have a problem- just generally. I'll...do anything you uhm...want me to..t-to do..or don't- Uhm-...Like..I'll bring you a glass of water, I'll clean, I'll cook- I just want...to be useful. To you. In anyway that I can, I just want to assist you. You don't...have to accept. I understand if you don't trust a demon," The demon leaned his head on the palm of his head, looking at the angel admirably and patiently.
The angel folds his arms, looking up at the ceiling. He looks back at the demon after a minute of thinking.
"There's...two reasons why I'm unsure. One, I don't know your name, and two, I don't know what type of demon you are," The angel declares, watching the demon's expression change.
It was one of hope and adoration, which slowly changed to shame and guilt as he heard the angel's words.
"My name is Kieran, but...I'm...slightly fearful...that once you hear my type, you won't..stand me," Kier explains, burying his head in his hands before looking back up at the angel.
"How about this? We can play the guessing game. If you guess it, then it'll be your choice to allow me to serve you, and if you don't, I'll just leave. You won't be bothered by me again." Kier proposed, his eyes once again filling with hope.
The angel tilts his head, "Though, there's no downside for me?"
"Of course. I told you, I would never harm you. That includes inconveniencing and annoying,"
"...alright. How many guesses do I have?"
"There's only seven types of demons, Since I'm not a mixed type,"
The angel nods slowly, before guessing, "Greed?"
Kier shakes his head.
"...you aren't wrath, are you?"
"Nope,"
"Gluttony?"
"Nah,"
"You can't be sloth.."
"I am not,"
"Probably Envy?"
"Nope...there's only one more,"
"So that'd make you lust?"
"It...does, yes," Kieran sighed, slouching in his seat and looking at the table shamefully. Slowly, he looked back at the angel, "This...doesn't change what I said. I, still, will never harm you. I'll never assault, harass, or force any angel to do anything with or for me. I...completely understand if this makes you want to rethink."
The angel looked at Kieran. He probably should've guessed that Kieran was a demon of lust, since his eyes are candy red. If his eyes were crimson, he'd be wrath, and if they were rose gold, he'd be greed. The angel completely wasted his time guessing.
The angel also noticed how Kieran only said angels were exempt from the harassment. The angel titled his head, "So, Humans and demons are still allowed to be harassed and assaulted? I don't think I'm comfortable with that, Kieran,"
Kier lays his forehead on his knees and wrapped his arms around his legs. "If...I were to stop, you'll...allow me to serve you?" He asks, slowly looking up at the angel.
"Well, you still have yet to get my name either, Kier. How are you so quick to know I'm not someone like Gabriel? That I won't quickly report you to God for interfering with angels?" The angel asks, a playful smile on his lips.
Kieran shrugs, "I think, if you were, you would've gone by now,"
"That...is true. I'm Haniel, angel of joy and pleasure,"
"Oh? So we're one in the same?"
"Not exactly, my pleasure is a bit more pure than yours,"
Kieran was quiet for a moment. He tapped his fingers on the table, before looking up shyly at Haniel, "So...what am I..to do to be allowed to serve you?"
"Simply stop harming other people, and then we'll have a deal," Haniel declares, watching Kieran thoughtfully tap his hands on his knees.
He sighs, "If...I were to stop..doing what I do, I'd...probably starve. Because I need one sexual affair a day, if I were to go one day without one, then I'd have to...go twice the next day. It...the...the numbers add up...but.." Kieran bites hard on his bottom lip.
He huffed, looking at Haniel with a worried smile, "I'm sure I can do it. It'd be nothing compared to the risk you're taking by allowing me near you, anyway,"
Haniel smiles, "Well then, we have a deal, don't we?" He asks, holding his hand out for Kieran to shake.
Kieran nods, "We do," He takes Haniel's hand, and shuddered as their hands started to sizzle. He let go, massaging his hand, "R-right. Sorry, I forgot we shouldn't touch,"
"It's fine. I'm the one who proposed. Now, Come on," Haniel commands, motioning Kieran to move from the seat.
Kieran, although confused, he slid out the booth, "W...where are we go-"
"To be useful, of course. We have things to do," Haniel explained, picking up the book he was reading and sliding out the seats. His wings stretched as he stood, and he motioned for Kieran to follow as he left the doors of the bar.
Kieran, excited and giddy, bounced slightly in one spot before remembering to follow Haniel.
"C-coming!"
