When I get home from school, the first question I am asked as I predict is, "How was your day?"

I didn't particularly want to tell my parents and my siblings' baby sitter, Laya, about slutty cheerleaders, Bad Boys, and how Lukas didn't talk to me all day except at the beginning of the day and the run in with him and the Bad Boys after Chemistry.

"Yeah, it was really good day, actually. I met two girls, Ariana and Keeley. We're really good friends now." I say as I hang up my bag on the hook and walk into the kitchen, where my father is sitting down, reading a newspaper that hide his face from me. Laya has Meli balanced on her hip, and my mother and Lukas come in from behind me.

"What about you Lukas, mi niño?" Lays asks, her Spanish accent is hard to understand, but we are all used to it.

"Alright. Got some mates." He shrugs.

My dad looks up from his newspaper and says, "It's friends, Lukas, not 'mates'. We're not from East End London, and we're not cockney."

"So we're southern snobs?" He asks, and my father points to the stairs, indicating for him to go to his room. My dad then continues to read his newspaper, shielding his face from us. My mum walks over to him, and kisses his cheek.

"Laya, I'm going to take Meli upstairs with me, if that's okay." I say.

"Say that in Spanish, Lucy." She replies.

"Voy a tomar Meli arriba con me." I sigh, letting my Spanish accent slip into the words.

"Bueno! Aquí tienes!" She exclaims and passes Meli over to me. She squeals happily when she ends up in my arms, and I walk upstairs into my bedroom window with her. I place her on my bed, and jump when Bethy comes into my room. I am in the middle of texting Ariana and Keeley a message to meet up at the weekend.

"What you up to?" She asks, and plops herself down on my bed.

"Not much, just texting. How was your first day?" I ask, and she places her head in her hands.

"What? Did someone hurt you, Bethy?" I ask, going into full protective older sister mode. She sobs ans I go over to her and hug her.

"S..some boy teased me... f..for my red hair. H..He called me a royal ginger and.. then kicked me. H..He wouldn't stop teasing me all d..day!" She cries into me.

"Oi, look at me, Bethy. I got called an 'English Redhead', okay? You know what I did? I completely ignored him. Like there's so many things better than them, like me and you? Ignore them, and then after a while, they'll get bored of it. If they hurt you any more, I will go down there and punch the life out of that boy." I say, and push her away from me and look at her now red eyes.

"O..Okay." She calms down.

"Now, no more crying." I say, and she wipes her eyes. I look down at Meli, who is staring up at us with her head cocked to the side. Her face is filled with curiosity.

"Boofy?" Meli manages to say. Betty cuddles her and let's her go, then skips back to her room.

Meli looks at me and says, "Lucy."

I grin and suddenly the doorbell rings. As quickly as I can, I jump down the stairs with Meli balanced on my hip, and quickly open the door.

Unfortunately, standing there, are Matt and Parker.

"Hello again, English Redhead. I didn't know you were a teen mom." Matt says and I glare at him.

"She's my sister. And hi. I guess you want my brother." I say coldly.
